Forum error

Post by kyle » Sun Nov 16, 2008 11:19 am

We're back up. The forum database had a corrupted table so I had to rebuilt it. Sorry for the down time, guys. I was out hunting the last few days and wasn't able to get to it.

On the bright side, these forum downtimes give us a pretty decent measurement of the current active forum members. I received 104 "The forum is down!" emails in the last 17-ish hours.

Need to get a G1 soon so I can deal with this stuff while I'm away from the laptop. T-mobile needs to hurry up and get a 3G network in my area.

Thank you Kyle! You da man.
Does your BOB at least have: water, basic tools, fire, food, first-aid kit, and shelter?

So we're prepared for zombies, natural diasters, and wars.

But when the ZS forum goes down we aimlessly wander the net wondering where to bug out to.

I only emailed because the error message told me to contact the administrator if the error message persisted.

It persisted.

I do what I'm told.

I will obey authority.

I just assumed Kyle got really drunk. Sometimes he tries to get the servers drunk, too. It doesn't end well.

Kyle did you get to many complaints from employers so you had to shut down the server for a day so people could get back to productivity?

I saw the forum go down I think about when it happened and did email another member about it but like others I figured you'd hear from enough other folks and could do without hearing from me.

Thanks for your fixing it up and in general for your hard work.

Either the message had got through and ZS would be back, or the zombocalypse had started and ZS was the first victim
