Mental Health Prepardness

Post by kyle » Fri Aug 01, 2014 1:12 pm

"Zombie Squad believes in helping people. It's an important part of our mission. Sometimes, the most important person you can help is yourself.

Preparing bugout bags, forming disaster plans, and having the right emergency equipment in your home are all just part of a larger strategy meant to make sure you are safe, physically and otherwise.

If you're having a hard time, dealing with depression, or just need someone to talk to, please reach out to friends and family. If you can't, there are a number of resources available. Contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 (TALK) for help.

We're a community, folks. Please, take care of yourselves and each other.

Be well."

Learned that the hard way.

Mental health is an important issue. Thanks for calling attention to it.

I whole heartily agree with the fact that mental health awareness is vital for everyone to know and understand.

Offer support whenever you can. Ask for support whenever you need it.

I just want to add that if anyone is feeling overwhelmed and/or needs someone to talk to, PM me. I check ZS several times daily. Barring that, the hotline in the OP is a good one, and most states have their own suicide prevention hotlines.

I've been rendered basically inert by old ghosts and stress before and still fight it some.

There ain't any shame in researching mental heath issues. It can be kinda like church. Shop around at techniques and groups. Find something that works for you.
