Several ensembles come to mind, depending on the situation:

Wading through a dense horde: Charhartt canvas overalls, and jacket, full face motorcycle mask, multiple leather dog collars with spikes, welders gloves (duct taped in place), ski boots. Melee weapon only.

Open terrain , low to medium Z concentrations: Charartt jacket, protec helmet (model that covers ears), multiple heavy duty dog collars with spikes, flight gloves under fast rope gloves, leather motorcycle pants and jungle boots. Carbine.

Relaxing in my safe area: Emma Peel leather cat suit, thigh high boots and two tone desert eagle (in .44 vice .50AE)

i was thinking about a biker leather suit (pant and jacket ) or a motocross suit.

for light clothe i was thinking some good quality denim or hessian clothe , with good army/ steel toe boot. since I've been wearing those boots for the last 15 years, so i don't feel the weight

Realistically, just a set of leather armor. Human's can't bite that hard, it's not that difficult to be bite proof.

do you know why we can't bite hard ? because it is again our nature to do something that could injure ourselves because we are afraid of pain. such fear that the zombie don't share. they can bite with 100% of their strength every times

put that at 1:15

Make a suit out of lexan. It can be vented. Just for kicks and to look hella cool while killing zeds, add some leds to it and paint the outer surface then any scratch markes you get will light up at night. Take a paint ball mask and put an elavated shield infront of the vents so you don't get splattered in the mouth. Carry a riot shield on your back that you can swing arround front when backed in a corner to give you backup a chance to save your behind while the zeds claw away at a non brakable but still see through shield. They work great as a sled if you approch a long stair case like at a mall. Forget trying to run down the steps, just pull it arround front and dive down. Easy way to put some yardage between you and the zeds when at the top of a steep hill also. :awesome:
What is LIFE you ask? Well LIFE is that thing that takes a BIG FAT DUMP on all your HOPES and DREAMS. That is what LIFE is.

Tyvek is both a biological barrier and extremely tough. It is also very light. On the downside it's not breathable, so folks in warm climates will be at risk of becoming a heat casualty. Available at your local hardware store.

Would offer no crush protection, so bites would still call damage /pain.

Sent from my mind via apathy.

Steel toed hiking boots.
Homemade jumpsuit made of heavy canvas that zips up to offer high neck protection, and with a crap-ton of pockets.
5.11 XPRT hard time gauntlet gloves.
Smith Optics Variant Brim Snow Helmet.

A gambeson, under chain mail.
A Leather Gorget,
Leather Duster,
On my Left side, a Paldron, arm armor, gauntlet, and a steel buckler 12" For the close up moments.
Leaving my right side quick and free for a firearm, or in close melee weapon.
IF need be, a simple face sheild to protect from blood splatter.
Do not go gentle into that good night,

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I just purchased this ]
]

Chose it because of the good shoulder area coverage unlike some others I've seen which is a favorite tasty area for the undead. Being rather hot here I plan to where a light cotton hooded shirt underneath with a reinforced taped up hood. I'm also looking into Kevlar denim pants and a light weight paintball style helmet setup.

I didn't like the way that ^ fitted at all. Doesn't cover as good as I thought and quite uncomfortable and restrictive. I have another idea though which I think will be much nicer and just as effective against bitey humans with more coverage.

The one good thing I saw from World War Z, though it was not the first place I saw or heard of it.

Duct Taping magazines to yourself for bite protection. Simple, easy to do, replaceable, plenty of magazines to be found in ZPAW. You can go simple, just a little forearm armor, or build yourself a COMPLETE bite resistant suit.

Beyond that, if i had the chance the typical, firefighter gear, police riot gear, motorcycle armor.

Of course the way infection is spread would have some to do with it. Is it bite only or just any fluid contact?

Something that always amazes me in most zombie movies/shows, is how seldom people think to just add a little armor to their person to help prevent that bite from killing them. for me if given the chance I would be quickly armoring myself with something, even just a couple extra layers of clothes.

That also amazes me. I mean in the walking dead they have riot gear from the prison but rarely wear it :/ I'd be sleeping in it! Lol.

My next project involves a thick denim hooded jacket, some rolls of gaffa tape (a little better than duct tap) and some thin flexible plastic kitchen chopping mats. Maybe even a needle and some braided fishing line if I get excited. Just waiting on the gear to arrive.

You know there is some gear you can buy that arent fancy looking and are higly efficien such as:

-anti-bite sleeve again dog and stab-proof sleeve, they are made of kevlar and seem ordinary almost like a pair of sock but they can protect you again bite slash and stab

- leather jacket : you need thick leather like those motorbike jacket

- a good pair of working boot or motorbike : they usually high enough to protect most of your leg and made of thick leather with a bonus steel toecap

Just kill a zombie and skin him---then wear the skin---you'll blend in and won't be bothered
