How would you prepare yourself in the event you meet other people who survived if you were the group and they were just a single person?

What if you were the person approaching the group how would you approach them?

I think some contact/interactions would be unavoidable. Everything would be dealt with caution and paranoia. However, remaining calm and professional would diffuse most tensions as stress in these situations might elevate the conflict.

depends on the survival rate, which will probably be very low, wherever one is. any contact would be miniscule at best and we may go for months, if not years, without seeing anyone else, especially in the more remoter areas.

You start by saying "Hello."
Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home

Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

I understand survival rate yes but lets for this instance say there were quite a few people still out there at around 6 to 8 months in. Strength in numbers i believe but how could you trust people i have trouble trusting people now let alone in that situation haha

if you've got any sense, you DONT!
better to be alone than get a knife in the ribs in the middle of the night.
I trust no one, that way I don't get surprised when they let me down.
