Eveeytime people talk about zombies, someone will bring up something about a certain weapon they would use or love to have.
In that case, I am a shotgun guy. I love the fact how destructive they can be at close range and the variety of ammo available to purchase and for reloading. I have Remington 870 that I modified with a pistol grip but stock, magazine extension, fiber optic sights, and a 28 in barrel with full choke. Some of my favorite shells to use are the 3 1/2 buckshot 00.Some very destructive ammo that has eighteen pellets per shot. Blew a buck down on his a** at twenty feet away so Im sure they will provide a lot of protection from a group of zombies trying to eat me. I also want to have a real katana because they are light and very sharp, especially for those moments you need to be stealthy or just want to have way to much fun!! I am looking forward to see what other ideas other members have and why.

Butter knife. Doesn't need reloaded or sharpened. And of course, I would use blue wire to both tether it and get a better grip.

A butter knife

I prefer my Mossberg 715T .22 LR for long range and my Condor Tool and Knife Tactical Rescue Tomahawk and my Fallkniven F1 for close range. Other then that I could fling poop into oncoming zombies faces to blind them, I'd have a little bit of ammunition from the laxatives I would take right before I took on the zombie horde because nothing makes you move faster then when you gotta go.

That's easy: AR with good, low-power optics and match trigger. Very accurate (remember, only head shots count, and on an erratically staggering zombie, that can be tricky), holds lots of rounds (there's usually at least one serious 'swarm' scene in every zombie movie I've seen), very fast to reload, and ammo is fairly light so it's easy to carry a lot of it.

Plus, you can throw a bayonet on it, for if you run out of ammo or just wanna conserve/be quiet.

Problem with the poop is what if your body involuntarily responds to the zombie apocalypse with fear-induced constipation? Ammo shortage! :gonk:

I'm feelin' classy. Tonight I'd use a pool (Billiards* to you non-'Mericans) stick. Of course, I'd use it pool style: guided by my left index finger and thumb.

*-Yes. I know it's a different game.

definitely this for the ranged approach, though I'd go with the ball bearings from a pinball machine. for when things get up close and personal, a Ka-Bar 1211 fighting knife.

Would like to have a Glock 17/19 ... but apparently firearms are "dangerous/scary" and I'm not allowed to have one.

I humbly submit the following excerpt of amazing-ness:

A gun is loud it attracts zombies if you and you survivors can get some poles attach a knife to the end and get some grill covers or lids your set each man covers the other man you will live to see another day

I like. Trouble is you'll need a large-ish group of people to get (and keep) things running smoothly. Though, if you do it right, you can have a really nice self-contained community behind the walls.

FOR ZOMBIES. Not having yet actually engaged them, I do however believe that for the longer-term I would prefer my large “crow bar”... Made by my grandfather... My kid looks forward to inheriting it...

Firearms run out of bullets. Swords & other blade items may… stick… when desperately needed to be swung at the next arrival

Trebuchet firing napalm filled pumpkins from the safety of ShooterMike's castle. I realize ShooterMike doesn't know me but I would be rocking a trebuchet. Pretty sure that would buy my way in.

Any man with a working trebuchet and napalm filled pumpkins, and who passes the "sniff test", is golden at my castle. +1 if you still have some pumpkin pies you made from the fillings beforehand. :awesome:
