The easiest way to stop zombies is to just wake up :clownshoes:

There was a.... let's call it a fad during Victorian times to allow people wrongfully buried alive to be able to rescue themselves

There was also this-a grave vault. There was enough air to allow you to survive for hours and then you could turn the wheel to escape. You see there also happened to be another passing fad of the day for collecting various poisons from around the British Empire. Poisons whose effects on the body would have been known by very few doctors if any. Which makes these ideas quite a lot more reasonable than you might first have imagined.
