SAN DIEGO LAB DISCOVERS CORV-19 VACCINE

This isn't going away anytime soon folks and with all the new variants of COVID-19 popping up it just made sense to drop COVID-19 from the sub-section name and consolidate all the pandemic stuff in one location.

SAN DIEGO LAB DISCOVERS CORV-19 VACCINE

Post by flybynight » Sat Mar 07, 2020 1:19 pm

In a race against the clock, a San Diego lab is scrambling to get a COVID-19 vaccine out and on the market. As the days go by, Inovio Pharmaceuticals is getting closer to releasing the desperately needed vaccine against the deadly virus.

ETA further searching reveals public release is still months away.

That's actually pretty damned impressive.

It'll take months to get approvals, production in place, and so on. However, the swift response still puts us months ahead of any previous novel disease I know of.

This is actually old news. It was reported last month on February 11th. Having a vaccine and having a safe and effective vaccine are two different things.
