I got this crazy idea to try out a chest rig made by Hill People Gear: original Kit Bag V2

Being marked down 27% probably helped the decision.
It should arrive by Saturday but am not sure

Bought Clif bars to rotate out the ones from my BOB. Not very exciting.

Just bought a few cases of bottled water to rotate the supply and a 7 pound bag of red lentils from Costco for $11 to help provide variety for all the vacuum sealed rice that's in storage.

Purchased a Ruger LCP II 380 for a bigger bang than my little .22 revolver CCW.

Last weekend, on the way to a lawnmower repair shop, I happened to notice a large number of people and cars/trucks set up as kind of a mini flea market in a commuter parking lot. I stopped to look around. Sometimes it is just junk but as the saying goes: One man's junk is another man's treasure. From one vendor selling mostly clothes/fabric I purchased a cotton beach towel that I can cut into strips and use for cleaning weapons but will probably give as a gag gift for Xmas. $2
Image
Sitting by a rear wheel of their vehicle was a small, unopened bucket that I wanted as well so I haggled with them and got the price down to $8.
1800 bullets and a beach towel for $10. Not a bad day.

I just bought a used NAA Gaurdian 380 for $230 plus $20 transfer... A lot heavier than the Kel-Tec or Ruger LCP, but stainless steel and has a nice feel to it... Nice backup or deep carry piece ... or "just cuz' !"

Bug out...or just get out.
Picked up a Eureka 4 man ecws tent, military surplus. Set up today and found a second tent body in the bag - score.
Everything is in good shape, even the repair kit was full....for fifty bucks I think I did OK.
It should be good for my family of 5, 2 little 1 middle and 2 bigs-

Just ordered a surplus Molle II medium rucksack (I have the 3 day assault pack which I use as an overnight bag - AWESOME...) but I wanted something a little bigger - I got the grade 2 version -used for $69.99 - based on the reviews of others who had bought them. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/10189 ... e-assembly

They're having a promo for free shipping on orders $99 or more so you could get the grade 1 with free shipping, or go grade 2 and add something worth 30 bucks to give yourself the sense of getting something free...

I bought a Maxpedition Entity 23 - would NOT recommend it.
They tried to go "gray man" but by hiding the segmented storage - internalizing it, really, they cut down available space. :|
