Based on the ZS good deals thread I ordered up the Howard Leight Impact Sport OD Electronic Earmuffs

They should be here any day and will be used at the next range outing.

I didn't actually buy it, but a loadmaster buddy of mine gave me about 1\4 of a US cargo chute. I can't give dimensions but it's a giant pie shaped wedge of silk. Super lightweight and not too bulky.

I put it in my INCH gear for shade and possible water catchment here in the burning mesquite flats of North Texas.

i picked up a cheap trekking pole.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/7001-Aluminu ... 2749.l2649

It works surprisingly well. And is really light.

Image

It is just some aluminium with a rope in the middle. I was mostly thinking of using it as part of a tarp tent. But it works as a trekking pole. I even fell on it and didn't seem to break it.

I also noticed how much I dont need shock absorption and how weight on somethin that is used at the end of my arm makes so much difference.

Can you have the light stay on or does the button need to be held down?

If you go there pick at least two of whichever ones you like and use the discount code RCBOGO at checkout. You can choose two different calibers.

A used Ruger 10/22 with 10rd mag, a 25 rd mag, 3300rds ammo, a "month" of Wise food, 3 cases of water, 5 cheap lighters, 2 cheap LED flashlights, 6 instant potato soup mixes I saw on sale, and 2 cheap Gerber folding knives.

Added plastic ponchos, an old small 2qt pot and lid, a warped wooden spoon, and a bunch of plastic ware/napkin/condiment sets from somewhere, a solo life straw, two sets of flip flops, and a family life straw.

All cached now in 5 gallon buckets (except for the rifle. It's double vacuum sealed in a soft case.) at that other place away from here.

A cheap knock off Chinese"trangia" stove and platform https://www.amazon.com/Lowpricenice-Pro ... ohol+stove . Actually a pretty nice little stove (it still may be more fun to make your own) and the reviews are pretty good - quality seems good too.

I threw in a fold-up aluminum wind screen as well for another $8 .

Maxpedition TacTie PJC5 polymer joining clips. Recently bought a bunch of used Maxpedition pouches off Ebay; now I need to attach them securely to my various backpacks and EDCs. Also ordered Blackhawk speed clips and the older Maxpedition tie tacs, so will compare mounting solutions.

Not much, but I bought 3 gals of water to take camping. Only used 1 so 2 go into storage. Was running a little low anyway.
