It didn't take much to jump on this. It was $22.32 including shipping to my Zip. It will come out of my back-up-reserve-emergency money for this month.

I usually don't back order anything. Thanks CZ!

ReadyStore just called & the Katadyn price was a mis-print & it will not be honored. They were able to offer me a "super-discounted" price of $83.something. I told the caller thaqt I would pass & that I would be telling everyone in the forum.

So I did... :vmad:

I have one that I am currently beating up and may purchase a second one. Probably have to thin out some of the safe queens first.

In the part number 4PKODT the KO means Knife Only. No molle back and no sheath. For only $14 more you can have the sheath and molle back at $103

It would be really considerate to post at least a product link if not photos or information to better explain what this is and why it is a deal.

I have had or used just about every model now and think I like this one the best if only because of its size:
https://www.amazon.com/BLACKTHORN-BOTTLE-Stainless-Steel-Bottle/dp/B00NF0N2RK

Mine has been dropped, kicked, heated, frozen, and nearly stolen by an airport security person not of this nation. I have replaced the original lid. I have carried it with 8 packs of dried ramen crunched up inside and fed three people after dipping it into a river and setting it to boil. I have used it to bail water out of the bottom of a canoe and kayak, and et cetera.
Image

Now, having said that, after paying $20+ for it I travelled to 4 different Goodwill stores in the area and picked up 10 different steel bottles (including Klean Canteen [2 models), blendo bottle, zendo pure and Zoku) used, for less than I paid for the one bottle. ( Look in the silver section - ;/ )

And I don't see any great deals on their site.

Those Blackthorne bottles don't work with any filter attachments. I would avoid it. For one that does.

Good point about the attachables. Especially if you are always searching for water sources and using your filters.
I have only used a filter with it once and -this is crazy- I was able to pump it right in...but the choices are vast in stainless steel bottles. The reason I like this one is volume. Some people prefer a wide-mouthed forty. Your consuming habits may vary.

The very best prices I have found are at Goodwill.
