I dont' know if anyone has posted the cheap amazon backpacking stoves but I got one and it works as good if not better than ones costing 3X as much.

THere are a couple of them. I already have a brunson raptor, which has a piezo lighter and small burner. I got the one with the big burner for 9.50. Here is a link>

I'd recommend picking up a Three-Leg Transfer Head Adaptor, which allows you to use straight up butane(much cheaper than the butane/propane mix). Costs around $5, which is about the price difference between one butane can, and the butane/propane mix. I use it on the second stove you listed. Obviously it's only for 3 season use(and obviously doubles the footprint of your stove), but it saves money in the long run.

Tactical Tailor's Founder's Day sale - 35% off all Tactical Tailor stuff 5/1-5/7.

If you did not know, Logan Coffey passed away in a car accident April 2008, the guy that started TT. You should read up on his history. Truly started his business from scratch, Army barracks to what it is today. I was fortunate enough to meet the man a month before he passed as I went up to Tacoma and dropped into his store and bought some stuff in the "seconds bin" and a calendar. Told him I wasn't anything special - no cop, no soldier, not PMC, just some hobbiest and just thought this stuff was cool and had some outdoor applications. He treated me like I was the most important customer he ever had.

So, celebrate this man's life and his gear and get some at 35% off.

Hey fellas, it's been a while. Well, not really a 'deal' in the sense that there is a retailer offering it; I've been on the lookout for a BOB candidate for a while, alas I cannot fiscally justify this ebay posting to myself.

That being said if I had the scratch right now I'd jump on it. Since I don't I can all but hope that someone here in ZS does get it.

I have one of these. It runs like a blowtorch and drains a fuel canister VERY quickly.

Get a good deal on Seek Outside Nests.
These are all fine, but lack the line locs and use #3 zippers instead of 5. Minor differences between production.

Currently until the end of today http://campingsurvival.com/index.html is having 15% and 25% off Mountain House items. Also throw in "jwr" on the promo code and you get an extra 10% off.

I picked quite a few meals myself.

Tactical Assault Pack - Combat Rucksack - 17" Military MOLLE Backpack 27L - Black, Tan, Olive Drab, Camo

I have two of these - one in coyote, one in ACU. My son abused the coyote one for a year on scout outings and it's still in good shape. I used it for a year before he got it. He decided ACU is cooler and is now abusing that one. Both are holding up well.

How soon do you need it? We'll find you a deal. Are you wedded to the idea of a single wall, center pole shelter like a tipi, or are you open to a double walled frame tent?

Stupid of me, I would need it before Monday. My silly situation is that I thought I have a functional tent and am going to camp from Monday on but it turned out the tent I have is incomplete (at least good that I checked it) so I need a new one if none of my friends can lend me one.

What ultra cheapos would you recommend? (from Walmart or anything price equivalent, needs to be pickup only, nothing will arrive in time)

Maybe anything recommendable under 50 bucks or should I invest a little more and have something better then some junk on some stakes?
The 90$ Tipi sounded so good, when the deal was on I THOUGHT I didn't need any tent, now I regret not getting it. And no, I don't care if it's double walled or a tipi. Just 2 people should fit in it.

I have a No Limits King's Peak tent from Academy. It is ok and on sale for $60 at Academy's website. I was in a similar situation to yours when I bought it. It seems ok for warm weather. Definitely not as awesome as some of the tents my friends use but not total shit either.

I picked one of these up http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-6 ... 8/15111311" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; from the local store for 59.99. I have only used it once so far but worked great, wasn't very hard to put up and held up to a rambunctious 8 year old "helping me" assemble it. I was able to stand comfortably inside this one and walk around in it. You had stated 4 person tent, but I like to have extra space for gear and to stretch out. I was able to repack this one in the bag it came in without a whole lot of effort on my part. (the 8 year old jumped on the tent every few folds to get the air out). Not sure if your local store is having a camping sale like mine but if so the tents there were not horrible, and for the money downright hard to beat.
