I'm not really seeing this as "bug out gear". Ridiculous? Yes, completely.

Escape & Survival Module
The Escape & Survival Module was developed for an elite US military unit, but it also can be a lifesaving device for those who travel in harm’s way or in dangerous regions. This kit provides effective tools to enable escape from captivity and subsequent survival. It's all contained in a special o-ring sealed module which was designed to provide maximum concealment options when capture is imminent.
Despite its small size, it includes all of the following components: 4 lock picks, handcuff key, 2 styles of lock shims, Kevlar® escape saw, diamond rod saw, ferrocerium fire rod, 3 waxed jute fire starters, and ceramic razor blade. Even the module itself is a working component – it's milled from magnesium and can be shaved down with the back edge of the ceramic razor blade for fire starting. Also included is a small packet of petrolatum (does not fit inside the module), for uses that include first aid, fire accelerant, etc.
Government contract over-runs, so quantities are very limited. Dimensions and weight (w/o petrolatum packet): 3.2” length x 0.7” diameter, 1.1 oz. $89.00

With it's shape, the jelly and "all contained in a special o-ring sealed module which was designed to provide maximum concealment options when capture is imminent" Pretty sure what you're thinking is their maximum concealment method.woodsghost wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 1:26 pmRight with you Elly. Why am I always the last to know? They have a full line of police and military equipment that I have never seen before despite nearly 30 years of military and police work. The only conclusion I can draw from this is I have been doing it wrong all this time.yossarian wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:26 pmAah, Shomer-tech. I think it's the carabiner that really completes it.

I find it uniquely frustrating that so many preppers have their heads in the sand about climate change.
But, I've come to realize there's no point in arguing with someone if there's no possible evidence you could present that would actually change their mind.

Shomer-Tech has some funky stuff. It's kinda like Harbor Freight for M-ninjas.
But a lot more expensive.

The ridiculous part has a lot to do with the price tag and not so much to do with the contents.

Yeah but you can get it monogrammed! So that makes sense. That should really come in handy in case you end up in a refugee shelter and the guy in the cot next to you also has one.gary83 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:51 amWow. Lets not forget the conveniently located small of the back pouch. Especially accessible after you strap it on with dual belts.

It's your lumbar support pouch. The guy that put the rig on the dummy tightened the shoulder strap too much and it's riding high.
