I found this on another forum. Pretty interesting stuff. You can buy smaller hanks for less. I could think of a few uses for this stuff.

You can get this on Amazon as well. If you read the reviews people use it for all sorts of things. I'd use it...

Thanks. I'm going to buy some more. That was my go to cordage for years.

Man I hate not getting notifications!

That said. Ya. This stuff is very very interesting. I'm at least going to add it to my BO vehicle.

I've heard stories about guys rappelling with 550 cord. Uh. No thank you. I've repelled. I don't like it. But if I had to I would not do it with 550. But I might consider it with some of this mule tape. Maybe a hank should go in the pack. This would be great for hunting too.

I don't think it comes in other colors. But some RIT dye in green or brown would be cool.

I've never been hammock camping. But I could see it's uses there too. (Actually I might have seen this stuff before. I seem to recall a DIY hammock camping Youtube video that used something like this. Weird how stuff just pops back in your mind. Wish I could remember what my wife said a half hour ago!)

Used it at work. Gave some to dad for jug lines. Heard some guys braided it for tow strap.

I was wondering about the two strap idea. I hadn't thought of braiding it. But wondered if a few wraps of it would tow a car.

Hello

Electric and cable companies use Mule tape to pull heavy cables up and it place. Dave Canterbury uses Mule tape as suspension lines for a hammock. I also use Mule tape as Suspension lines on my hammock. I use a Slippery hitch knot or Becket knot to tie in to the hammock. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gAlq1h-o9c

I assume you could dye with rit dye. I would love it whole lot more in od green. But what's not to love about this stuff. I'm going to definitely pack some of this in my packs from now on. The useless - and especially emergency uses - are endless. I could see using this to make a litter for sure.
