Different kinds of flint for Zippo.

Post by moab » Fri Mar 23, 2018 5:52 pm

Did you know there were different kinds of flint for Zippo lighters. Read the descriptions of the flints in this online store. She sells black, silver and red. Each has its own attributes. I purchased black as it's the longest lasting. But the other colors offer coating from moisture and larger sparks. Depending on what you want. Great prices too.

Thanks for this! Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing different colors of flint before, but I had forgotten until this. Might be worth some experimentation.

Ya. It's pretty cool. I remembered different colors too. But had no idea why. Plus her store sells them for CHEAP compared to name brand. (I have no connection to her at all.)

And whenever you come across a dry butane lighter - tear it apart. There is LOTS of unused flint inside.
Shot 'em, now I'm gonna hang 'em, then I'm gonna burn 'em!
Damn Zombies. Can't ever be too dead to suit me.

Yea. I think the Zippo ferro rod and Bic are compatible unless mistaken.
