I could see throwing a cheap pair of these in if your around ice. $10 for three pair.

May as well run a few hex head sheet metal screws into the soles of your boots.

Only recommended if you will never ever walk on pavement or rock or indoors again. :) I've only found cleats useful on thicker ice, like frozen lakes, though my actual uses have been pretty limited.

Used to do this in winter in Maine, only downside is they can track leaves
