I like testing different sizes/models/brands of packs side by side when possible. Because the Khyber packs were priced so low at LA Police Gear I decided to order both the 80 and 50 to try out. After comparing to my commercial packs I'll decide what to keep and then sell off the extras. I've been waiting 3 weeks for LAPG to ship because one variant was on backorder. I finally emailed them and asked them to split the shipment and send me what was in stock right now. They emailed me back and I got a tracking number. Maybe late next week I'll get my hands on some.....

My (very long ago) back-ordered Khyber 50 finally shipped from LAPG!

Now I am on the hook to perform some comparisons and write it all up

Finally got a good hike in with the Khyber 50 with maybe 25 pounds in it. I really liked it! Very comfortable.

Heads up for Khyber 50 and 80 owners.

At the gun show today I bought some USMC FILBE APB03 Radio Pouches. The side straps on them allowed me to tie them into the vertical loop strips inside the Kyber's main bag that run above the aluminum staves. The APB03's are all over eBay for $4-$6

The main panel is 11 " wide and 8" tall. The side panels are 5" at the top and 4" at the bottom. Weight is 3 ounces. I will probably cut off the two large 1 1/4" bukles
