Cleaning kits for BOB/GHB

Post by Tully305 » Wed Jun 12, 2013 12:43 pm

Not kits for your gun, but I'm looking for ideas on what all of you use for cleaning up after meals, etc.?

hand sanitizer, camp suds, and sand from river bank (if available). I don't pack one currently, but those neat little mini nylon pot scrubbies are good. Also, don't make a mess to begin with.

Because we may "bug out" to a hotel if possible, I am packing some baby wipes and lysol disinfectant wipes for hygiene. Just because its 72 hours doesn't mean you have to be a savage :D .

Critiques of weight/bulk are legit. I have children so I'm not bugging out anywhere on foot.

Baby wipes, Coleman camp soap. Sand if available and not on non stick pans. Elbow grease.
I bring hand sanitizer too.

I carry a small bottle (80ml) of washing up liquid.

My cooking pots don't take much cleaning, as they're stainless steel.

+1 for coleman camp soap. i like to bring hand sanitizer along too but you gotta be careful not to squish it and sanitize the inside of your pack

I've always used and liked this for camp soap.

Camp soap, a small bottle of Dawn. A Shamwow for washcloth and another, larger one for towel. For me, a microfiber towel works.

I always grab a few extra of the pre packed moist toilettes that they have at most BBQ restaurants and keep them in the GHB/BOB and camping gear. Very handy to have.
