Everything I've read says it's not happening. Do you have a link to this supposed trailer?

I "heard' about 28 months later about the time 28 weeks came out on DVD. I have been waiting for any word since and keep getting my hopes up on rumors that turn out to be false. Please don't toy with us

IMDB lists it as "in development" so that's promising

at the rate they're going, it will be "28 years later"

Well, if you think about it, there was over 10 years between night of the living dead, and dawn of the dead, so we're on schedule!

i'd like to see a prequel of sorts called 28 hours later - take us into the panic, the war, the rage virus spreading....take us into it as people try to survive

Yeah, 28 Hours later would be a better sequel/prequel IMO.

Isn't that fake trailer essentially the Doomsday trailer?

I'd totally watch that, although my pitch for '28 microns later' which shows the horrifying battle between red blood cells and the invading rage virus for a WHOLE 90 mins (special edition has 20mins extra) might be more successful, especially the EPIC battle for the blood/brain barrier

I worry about you people.

I think however the idea of a prequel would be a lot better then the next installment.

Why not just skip the months and go for 28 years later, It would be somewhere in a mad max world, echoes of the Doomsday plot, but with a nearly gone civilization, just isolated outposts of humanity.

A post apocalyptic frontier tale..... With rage infected outbreaks from time to time to keep everyone isolated in little barter towns, like a modern strip mall turned into a shanty town, with different places literally becoming tribal.

This time it's clan Wallyworld versus clan strip mall. The maller's and waldos fight for supremacy over the small suburban sprawl, when one of them encounters a house full of dead people.
What they don't know is that the rage virus is now airborne.

I see mad max vehicles, long dusty trench coats, a wild variety of steampunk influenced gas masks....

If I have my way, it will be directed by Jean Pierre Jeunett and Marc Caro providing the set design, and set in the american suburban mid west. Filmed in Canada of course...

There might be hope yet:
screenwriter Alex Garland revealed that “serious conversations” about making 28 Months Later have finally begun.

BOUT DAMN TIME.....

Okay, this is actually great news... I know there was a lot of flak over the zombie/not zombie deal, but honestly, I really dig the idea of a rage virus...

To me there are two "zombie" types (discounting Voodoo zombies, altogether different to me) the dead, decaying and shambling slow zombies and the viral/bio zombie...

As long as there are no more fast dead zombies... ugh...

I could see fast recent dead, but not fast long-dead.

28 Fortnights Later...... so, how long would that be?
It can always get worse.
