F DALE POP THE CORK!!!! Worthless could not even defend himself on his moonlight walk. He no longer wished to live and the "walker fairy" granted his wish. As for Darryl WTF "Brother", as if you are both walking the same path DALE was a typical

Im sorry to all the Dale fans but I was pretty glad to see him go. He had a good death, epic good death. But enough about Dale... And the dumbass of the year award has now been stolen by Carl! Now we see that he got his brains from his mother.

They do need to take that punk out before he hurts somebody. From his "interview" with Darryl and his plea with Carl.. If he gets a chance he WILL get his crew.

Agree, it's over, Dale's gone... Like him or hate him, it was a hell of an episode...

Carl... Well, he has a chance to redeem himself....

There were a few times that what Dale had to say made sense but I would've certainly disagreed with him on this particular subject. The kid tried to entice Carl away, his group has no regard for anyone else, he knows and has seen too much. He needs to die for their own safety.

This was a powerful episode for me. From Herschel and Glenn bonding, being angry at Lori for not keeping a better eye on Carl (and she's bringing another life into the world? WTF?! ), and even Dale's death. Rick is too wishy washy. Shane is too bloodthirsty. Darryl is quickly becoming my favorite character.

I really hope Darryl steps up and helps get this groups act together.

Though I am seeing a trend, TWD is a cautionary tale of every stupid and wrong thing you can do in the Zombie apocalypse. This is not the group who you root for to survive, this is the group you root for to just hurry up and die. They are the Walking Dead because they are too incapable of surviving in this new zombie infested world.

I think Darryl would be smart and just bail out of this group at the nearest chance he got.

As seen in the GENERAL RULES section of the Forum:
http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopi ... 44&t=19895
General Rules

This forum is a community, and all communities have rules to keep them running smoothly. With that in mind we’ve compiled this small list of rules.

1.) No discussion of illegal activities as a viable option.
We do not condone murder or theft or explosives so we do not appreciate them being promoted on our boards. Other illicit activities are also verboten, but these are the ones most often brought up.
2.) Proofread before posting.
If it’s important enough for you to post it, you probably want us to understand it. This means using proper spelling, good grammar, punctuation, and capitals if it helps with clarity. Typos happen, but full paragraphs of misspelled words with no punctuation are difficult to read and won’t be taken seriously (if anyone bothers to read them).
3.) No trolling or flaming.
This is obvious, but still needs to be said. We encourage discussion and disagreement; we encourage calling someone on their bullshit. We don’t encourage assholes. Please be constructive with your criticism if at all possible.

4.) Stay topical.
This just keeps everything easier to read. Yes, things do veer from the first post on a regular basis, but if you think you’ve wandered too far aground feel free to start a new topic. It’s fun and easy to do. Also, make sure your new topic goes in the appropriate forum. Lastly, make sure your thread title explains what your thread discussion contains.

5.) No spamming.
Please don't repeatedly mention any site, forum, or product that you have an interest in. One post in the appropriate forum is acceptable; four in various ones is not. We like to know about your cool new site, we just don't want to be bludgeoned with it.
6.) No hate.
ZS does not support or tolerate any form of xenophobic philosophy, including but not limited to racism, sexism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, or one based on someone's culture/personal beliefs.

7.) No debating of politics or religion.
To help discourage any of the above rules from being broken, we make a point to avoid these types of debates. It makes it a lot easier for us to all get along and helps us stay focused on our root topics--survival and zombies. There are lots of other great forums out there dedicated to debating politics and religion if you wish to do so.

8.) No pornography.
Anything that could be tagged as Not Safe For Work shouldn't be posted. This includes pictures you've taken of your girlfriend, avatars, or anything you just want to put up here. Blatant crotch shots, semi- or full-nudes, and anything overtly sexual would fall into this category. There are other, better places for you to go to get your rocks off.

If there are any disagreements, those with the rank of "ZS Board" or "ZS Forum Moderator" have final say in the matter. We’re not trying to be elitist; we’re just trying to keep the forums clean, easy to read, and friendly. Thanks for helping us by following these rules. If you have any questions, please feel free to PM any of us.
These rules have been in place before you came along. Respect them and Follow them. You have 8 posts in like 4 years and three have broken the rules above. Tread wisely.

Back on topic. With Dale gone, I was wondering IF there would be someone to step up or the group just keep sliding down in the same bad fashion. We think that there is a possibility that it would go better, but then again we don't know the script.
The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

I think that's what I found so moving about tonight's episode- the group was right on the brink of losing their humanity and Dale pulled them back, singlehandedly. (Even if you don't subscribe to that, Dale certainly did.) He did his best to remind them of the gentler, kinder things that bind them, and wound up reminding them that the world they inhabit is standing by to visit a horrific death upon anyone without preamble. The group winds up leaner, harder maybe, but nobody is likely to forget what Dale had to say.

And the 'ol Python to the forehead- Randall's screamin and bawlin, shies away from it. Dale, grits his teeth and shoves his face right up to it. I think the word is "juxtaposition", but I'm too damn tired to google it.

Nicotero directed this one, and I think its one of the best to date.

And hey, when Daryl says, "sorry, bro"... I can't remember if/when he ever apologized or said kind words to anybody. He was under a dark cloud for awhile, but it appears that he's coming back to the group. Nicotero called him "Rick's enforcer" on the TD tonight. I can see that, and I like it.

So....

Carl steals a gun. Yes, yes...he was only borrowing it. What the hell was he doing going through Daryl's stuff? Apparently his parents never taught him right from wrong. And is anyone else wondering if crossbow boy is going to find it missing when he aboso-frickin-lutely needs it right NOW? Carl screws up big time and says nothing. And learns a life lesson of the new world order. Dale's dead and Carl is partially responsible. HE goaded the walker into pulling itself out.

I actually thought that Carl was going to shoot it and THAT would either draw the raiders or the zombies. Or shoot the captive...he WAS looking at him in a "certain" way. If Carl is this bad now, just way until he hits his teens.....of course, that means TWD will have surpassed the Simpsons as the longest running show by that time......

Right now, T-Dog is my favorite. HE hasn't caused trouble or problems. And the writers suck. If I was that actor, I'd be raising hell. Every single one of the other characters gets lines. They didn't even give him lines to either support or deny Dale. And T-Dog is supposed to be his friend.

Actually I thought Dale's upcoming death was pretty obvious. He was bemoaning the fact that civilized life was over and he didn't want to live in an uncivilized world of survival of the fittest. Perfect foreshadowing.

By the way....

Over at AMC, TWD: a poll

Talking Dead 211
What should Rick have done when Carl walked in as he was about to execute Randall?

Shoot Randall in front of Carl
Tell Carl to leave. Then shoot Randall
Let Randall live and lock him back up
Shoot Shane

12488 people have voted so far
Shoot Randall in front of Carl
1136 (9%)

Tell Carl to leave. Then shoot Randall
3782 (30%)

Let Randall live and lock him back up
2451 (19%)

Shoot Shane
5119 (40%)

Bwahaahaha....I wonder if the writers are going to follow the lead of the voters. "Shoot Shane"...hahhahahahahaha

shane has a few rough edges, but he does have enough common sense to see that Rick's inability to make, and stick to a decision is the biggest problem the group faces.
Dale was a cancer within the group, but due to his own stupidity, and Carl's being out of control (thanks again Lori and Rick), has been removed.
Come on script writers, T-dog does not get a single line the whole show?
Carol has become even more unhinged.
I liked Glenn and Hershel reaching an understanding.
I'd welcome a herd of walkers to take down the farm, and maybe then we could find another group to pin mankind's hopes on.

Wow... Dale is dead. RIP ol dude. Too bad you didn't get any Andrea action on the TV series.

About Randall... his confession to Daryl during the "interrogation" was enlightening and disturbing. They have a group.... with about 30 men. He also told Carl their group includes women and kids (I find that info doubtful). If he speaks the truth, then everyone not part of their "group" is fair game (the farmer and his two daughters) and they should be considered "raiders". Think Rick's/Shane's group would behave the same? Come across a farmer and daughters and rape/assault them oh wait... never mind. Glenn and Maggie were consensual.

Randall reminds me of Jake Spoon from Lonesome Dove.
JAKE SPOON: Oh, you don’t need to tie me up, Newt. Hell, I didn’t kill anybody. I just fell in with these boys to get through the Territory. Hell, I was gonna leave ‘em first chance I got!
GUS McCRAE: I wish you’d taken that chance a little earlier, Jake. A man who’ll go along with five killings is takin’ his leave a little slow.

GUS McCRAE: You know how it works, Jake. You ride with an outlaw, you die with an outlaw. I’m sorry you crossed the line.
JAKE SPOON: I didn’t see no line, Gus. I was just tryin’ to get through the Territory without getting scalped.
And thanks to the previews of next week's episode, (SPOILER - if you don't watch previews) look as if Randall has escaped, not a good thing.

I seriously doubt Randall was telling the truth about the women or kids in the group because the fat guy at the bar said it had been weeks since he had gotten any and Randall had already told us his group were rapists.

Kinda glad Dale is gone. I think he liked to instigate trouble just to keep drama flowing. Unfortunately, I know people like that in real life. For instance he placed his hand on Daryl's shoulder and said "this group IS broken" so that everyone would be able to figure out that Daryl had said something also.

I am glad Rick backed down from killing Randall when Carl said shoot him. Carl is growing bloodthirsty. Rick and Shane need to take Randall off and shoot him away from the group. Randall needs to be executed, but not near the camp. If the other group shows up and finds one of their own dead there, they will be worse.

They need to leave the farm. It's only a matter of time before the other group finds them. Farm animals are going to be a huge draw even if they don't see signs of people. The fact that there are few walkers in the area is also a big give away that there are survivors. We already know the other group is sending out scouting parties because Rick already shot 2 of them and that was before they KNEW there were others in the area.

I have been disappointed with the 2nd season overall. IMHO, they have stayed at the farm for too long, and the story has stalled a bit. They had a great array of characters, but have been ignoring most of them (especially T-dog) in favor of overdoing other aspects of the story.

Dale has been a self-righteous prick, lacking the balls to act on his whining through most of this season, but especially at the end. He's been hauling that rifle around, but never put it to any use, even when it was obviously needed. He was being a bully (which I define as: a form of aggressive behavior manifested by the repeated use of force or coercion to affect others, and can include verbal harassment, physical assault or coercion) about the proposed execution of the imprisoned raider, but then lacked the strength of conviction to act on his stated beliefs. He stated that he felt the group was broken, and made it clear that he thought they would be committing murder, but didn't do anything about it. If I believed that the group was acting improperly, and was in fact about to commit an unjustified and unjust murder, I would have left the room (as he did) and, instead of pouting before getting disemboweled, rescued the prisoner and left with him.

I felt that the writers of the series overplayed (and poorly portayed) his angst about the group's struggle between civilization and lawlessness in the ZPAW...it's an interesting question that is central to most PAW stories, but I didn't like the way that the show has been doing it, with Dale, and with the show in general during the second season.

I have diminishing hopes for this show, but will continue to watch it for lack of any other ZPAW material on the TV.
