Out of that huge list, how many (and which ones) would you actually recommend?

Subject Two was a very good movie IMO. If all you are looking for is hordes of zombies killing and being killed, then it isn't for you, but if you enjoy a more thought provoking thriller/mystery type zombie movie, you should check it out. I think one of the reasons I liked it is I do tend to like zombie movies that have less oogie boogie type stuff, and try to have a bit of a rationale as to how a zombie/zombie plague might come about, like in 28 days later it was "The Rage" bio experiment serum used on chimps that started it, and the zombies could die, even without a headshot, they were kind of like rabid humans but didn't die from the rabies. Also in Zombieland it was explained that the virus there came from a mutation of the mad cow disease.

Rec (the Spanish version 2007) I would recommend as very good zombie/ plague outbreak entry -- I didn't see this on the list.

Dance of the Dead (2007) is just plain fun. Especially if you are showing it during a mixed group Halloween type party.

One thing I would like to add to each review is a listing of "lessons learned" like what Cool as a Chicken is talking about in the thread: Lessons Learned From Zombie Films
