An Ideal for Anyone who can program or mod games.. ZombieGTA

Post by Gundown » Wed Oct 27, 2004 11:26 pm

I was just thinking that a Zombie Mod for GTA 3 or Vice City would be friggen’ sweet.

You could program all the NPC cars to drive like they were in a panic all the time.

Change a small population into zombies and have them start randomly assaulting the living. Police, FBI, Military, and maybe even a few gang members would try to kill zombies but the rest of the population would panic.

When someone is killed, they lay on the ground for a few minutes, and then get back up to wreak havoc on the rest of their once fellow humans.

When the medics show up to heal the dead they are always killed and become zombies.

Zombies would pay no attention to traffic and Vice Versa, as a matter of fact traffic would pay no attention to pedestrians at all. Everyone would just run around getting run over and blown up.

Then there you are, trying to survive the terror of a panic stricken city infested with Zombies.

And of course the only way anyone would be able to kill a zombie is if you shot it in the head. That means the police and other NPC's that would fight zombies would more often then not be killed and come back.

I know nothing about programming or if this could even be done but I don't see the whole game being converted, maybe just one level that's a sort of, see how long you can survive level.

What do you guys think?

Add one little thing, and I'm all for it: 10 person multiplayer. :D

I would love sixteen person multiplayer. You and your "squad" could get on a roof with rifles and just lay down fire onto the hordes. and the best part would be the weapons cheats. Oh my god the insanity

GTA Dead City. I like it.

Does anyone else feel an undertone of abject violence from the people on this forum?

Dude, why couldn't you have a zombie MMPORPG? You start out as a human, you run around and get weapons and gear, and if you get bit, you change into a zombie. Then you get to PLAY as a zombie until you get capped in the head! (At which point you get to be human again.)

Here is where the world finds out my lack of sarcasm detection...

The last resident evil game has that "human to zombie" transfer. I haven't played it, but that's what I hear...and it's multi-player...

That would be sweet. I think you really could pull a zombie MMORPG but the map would have to be huge and the zombie to player ratio would have to be realistic.

Yeah, but if you're a zombie, what can you really do other than stagger around, smell bad and want to eat people? I for one don't see zombies with the ability to think of anything other than brains. Much like a fifteen year old male virgin can't think of anything other than gettin some tail.

Dead Rush is pretty much what you are describing. Too bad they killed it.
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own...

GTA Dead City, nice idea i have to say. And RCS do not fret, Dead rush may be gone but how about the Resident Evil game, Redesident Evil Iutbreak. You have a choice of 8 characters and the game spans over 5 chapters. It looks impressive since to my knowledge it can be linked up on the net for multiplayer action!

Yeah but from what I heard you have to have the PS2 Hard drive or the load screens become half of the game.

Still I want it, I want it like a zombie wants flesh.

...I got nothin'.

I'm ready for it, I have a PS2 and a hard drive. But I'm kinda holding out for GTA: SA. Having no cash at all sucks. :x :x

I cannot find a PS2 hard drive anywhere at the moment, no shops i go to actualy have it, thta sucks. Any way Outbreak is now out and i have GTA San Andreas RCS and it is a very nice game, now thta game would deserve a zombie makeover from the sheer size of the place.

Try Ebay. You can get pretty much anything off of ebay.
