Diamond Dead stage adaptation

Post by ghostface » Fri Sep 24, 2004 11:28 am

Diamond Dead is coming to Washington, DC.

Sort of.

It's an adaptation of the script by Romero (who was involved in its conception). They changed stuff around to fit the contraints of theater and also so as not to give away the entire plot of the film. If it ever gets made.

September 30-October 31 at 7:30pm
All tickets $15 - purchase online at http://www.landlesstheatre.org
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy, and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own...

I'm trying to get a buddy of mine to go with me. He's aware of the zombie menace, but isn't doing anything about it. Somehow I don't think this particular Multimedia Zombie Training will change that...

If I go, I'll post something.

I was in the DC area at this time and did manage to go see it. You know, it was fun. It was fine. It's Rocky Horror with some zombies, frankly. I would have enjoyed it more when I was 18, but it was a good time all the same.

You don't live around here do you? If you don't and saw it, and I do and was too lazy, that's pretty pathetic of me. I'm not doing well on taking advantage of all of the zombie-related activities in DC. And they are legion.

Well there's a sweet bar up here that shows a lot of "psychotronic" (read “crappy”) movies, and a number of them happen to feature zombies.

There was some stuff for Halloween too, but of course that’s all done.

And um... those politicians! They sure are like zombies aren't they? Lame. I guess I lied.

Spook lives around here though, and someone lives in Baltimore, I believe.

I think Jonas lives near Gettysburg. If you see a half-naked kid hanging from a rock, begging for a ZS shirt, that'd be him.
