Amazon Prime Video: Savageland

Great Goulessarian! I can’t believe that I am the first person reporting on this gem of a film. It has been incorrectly described as a mockumentary. This Is Spinal Tap and Best In Show are mockumentaries, this is a horror film. It plays out in an excellent documentary style like what you would see on PBS or one of the news magazine programs. If you are into running and gunning down zombies, this is not for you, the pace is slow and deliberate what it unfolds is really really clever filmmaking. I give it a big thumbs up.
Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals
Everybody happy as the dead come home

Big black nemesis, parthenogenesis
No-one move a muscle as the dead come home

Watched it a while back, it was "okay". It does remind me of some of the sh.....stuff....you see on shows like Frontline. :ooh:

Watched it this afternoon. Liked it . but it reminded me of the type of extra content included with a dvd release of a blockbuster movie. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if it happened.

ETA That movie kinda stays with you and dwells in the back of your mind til it pops out in your dreams.
As of now I bet you got me wrong

I saw this a while back, I thought it was ok. I prefer real documentaries about weird real life events over fake documentaries.
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother

I just watched that yesterday!! Wow! Too funny that this is now a topic. I thought it was a pretty well done movie. No gore or actual zombies, but it was still a pretty good watch. I liked how they made it like a documentary about a real event.
