Straight to DVD/Blu-Ray? With a concept like this, you'd think it would have taken at least a brief detour through the SyFy network.

I hope it's one of those "so bad, it's good" deals.

Its estimated budget was $5mm http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4511566/bus ... =tt_dt_bus
Which is, I believe, about 22 times the usual syfy movie budget. And also means they will feature the use of REAL blanks instead of the usual syfy CGI inserted muzzle flashes timed to the actors' shaking of the gun. [I heard syfy also saves money on their budgets buy using rhesus monkeys on the creative and screen writing teams; they pump out an idea and screen play every 4 days for about 25 oranges, 30 lbs of bananas and 2 bags of dry dog food. The equivalent of about $99.00 US]

Would those be regular rhesus monkeys or RoboRhesus? Maybe MeglaMonkey? If you put enough of them together, add water and an earthquake do you get a Simianami?

Oh, my. How easily I entertain myself ....

I'm 44mins in to 1hr37 and wondering why the fuck the seals had to do a halo jump into an American city with no potentially active AA defences.
Just land a chopper with lots of hard dudes on side machine guns (gatlings optional), or do a fast rope if you want to be cool.

Also Michale Dudikoff is meant to be watching them from HQ, but they're not wearing google glasses or any aliens video devices- 2nd massive fail.

Edit, at 58mins one seal does a single head shot after minutes of nothing (with his very short M4 carbine (sorry can't tell the exact variant)) and has to do a cool tactical reload, wtf- where are his other 29 rounds- we're meant to believe he's been mooching for x minutes with 1 round in his mag... rather than keeping track of his shit.

Good production values with the combat and headshots, but the above just seems weird. Could have tightened it up. Where were the military/combat advisors.

That was the best part of the movie. They lost me when the lead SEAL had no time to look at the video the reporter had. I figure if you tell someone who has no idea what is going on "Hey we got video of what's going on!" that they would actually look at the little screen.
