Don't know either of the guys you cite.

Anyway, movie looks like it'll be good, looking forward to hopefully enjoying it.

They are showing this in my local movie theater. I might take my boys and go check it out...

I’m a big Tig Notaro fan, so I was really looking forward to seeing”Kelly’s Heroes with Zombies”. Sadly, this movie had people doing stupid things, massive plot holes and hopelessly ridiculous dialogue. This was a big disappointment given how much I liked Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead. Not fun, not interesting, not entertaining.

Oh yeah, it’s on Netflix.

So that's a negative on AofD?

Is that Shreikback in your sig line??

LOL I have that Oil and Gold album dude. Bought it way back because of the movie Manhunter. Sountracks like that usually only one song is good on the album. Friggin' Coelacanth is awesome. This big hush. Nemesis. I also have IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA by Iron Butterfly but that is like a 20 minute song and I guess you have to be on acid to sit all the way thru that one.

Hmmm lets see... zombies ... a Las Vegas Heist ... a nuclear bomb... sounds like Oceans 11, Zombieland & Sum of all Fears was combined into one movie...what could possibly go wrong with that?

Guilty as charged. It was one of my favorite albums in college, or shortly there after. Nemesis was all over the college radio but I really liked chilling to coelacanth

Watched it with my sweetie last night, it was fine. Not great, not awful, fairly predictable. A lot of the scenes were really well shot, but the story was nothing special. And the whole "leave it open for a sequel" at the end deserved an eye roll.

Yeah I used to listen to 88.6 radio down here which was a college radio that played a lot of Alternative and basically helped with my 'what to buy' list. And apparently that put me about 1-2 years ahead of the curve when any of those albums/songs crossed over into the top 100. MTV had an alternative hour on the weekend also.

OT: Just read an article on how Zack used an 'odd' lens to shoot the entire movie. It had an extremely short focal plane, so it creates an effect where backgrounds and foregrounds go out of focus.

Watched it yesterday, Gotta agree with the posts above. Not bad, not good, maybe a fun romp. Watchable if you want to zone out. Predictable... I wouldnt get Netflix just to see it, but if you want to see a zombie movie, there it is...

It’s a zombie movie, of course it’s predictable. It was fun, I watched it twice because it made me laugh a few times. I liked that they explained that shambles were dehydrated and to watch out when it rains. That was something I’ve never liked in zombie movies.

And the special effects were great, until the helicopter. Hello mid 90s called, they want their effects back.

Would I pay for a month of Netflix for a zombie movie, never. But I did enjoy this one.

It was ok, but nothing spectacular by any means with minimal funny moments. Would watch again if it were on late night and I was drunk with absolutely nothing else to watch.

Otherwise, moving right along...

Watched it with my 3 boys this afternoon. The movie was OK at best. It was no Dawn of the Dead remake that's for sure. The 6 year old and the 8 year old left the room after about 15 minutes, never to return. My 10 year old spent the first 30 minutes trying to figure out where he'd seen Batista before (hint:Guardians of the Galaxy), then he kept asking questions. Why doesn't everyone cover up, why doesn't everyone have explosives, that guys said he could get them anything they wanted, and so on. His biggest question that I couldn't answer with "because they're a dumbass", was "Why did that zombie look like a robot when it got killed?" In case someone missed it there was a zombie that got shot in the face about halfway through the movie that looked like its "blood" was blue sparks and his eyes glowed blue as he went down.

I finally watched it. It was ok. I thought the best part was the intro. I could have watched a whole movie done in that style showing the collapse of Las Vegas.

Anyone know who was the duo they lost in the last steps out of Vegas in the intro? Looked like a mother and daughter. I'm curious who played those parts and my google-fu isn't up to par.
