Good writing Doc. I hate that you ended the story, but I like how you set it up for a possible continue.

I think that you made a good choice by separating the "complete story"(you need a catchy name for your universe...) themes into 3 separate books(hopefully, fingers crossed), Hannah being the first day survivor story, Owen being the action story and Cole being the rebuilding story.

Again, great work, but don't let the tributes keep you away from the keyboard. More writing please.

Hey doc! Long time lurker, and finally first time poster after registering. Thanks for your stories - I have enjoyed reading all of them. I wish you luck in getting them published - finding a company who will pick up your ideas can be hard for any author. I can't wait to see them in print!

I've got an idea for another story involving one of the characters from the Lodge that was given to me by a guy, but I need a break. So give me a few weeks. We'll see what happens.

WOW! Great story doc, i was hoping this wouldn't end, but all great things must. I do hope you do another continuation of the story, your writing is some of the best that i have read in a long time, also good luck on getting these published. If you do, you can count on me to buy the set!

Thank you.

Now go forth and read Owen!

Oh and the short story, 36 Hours kinda is the kick off for the whole series.

I'll find the link for it for you.....

36 Hours

Owen

I have gone forth and read all that there is to read in this series(so far). It all kicked ass. I hope someday that you might decide to continue this series. Like all great writers, storytellers, artists, and strippers, you Sir, have left me wanting. It pains me that I might forever wonder what happened to the survivors at the Lodge. So many questions.

Thanks again for the Kick Ass stories.

A great action filled series, I would love to see this one continue on.

Thanks. I really enjoyed writing them, there was so much more I wanted to put into them-- more about how the Lodge works-- more about how they were surviving, but with character driven stories, it's hard for me to put in those details. I have a notebook on all of the changes to the Lodge they made in the interim, defenses, gardens, where they had the cattle penned, many many things that did not make it into the storyline.

I've been thinking about a spin off and a story about the lodge itself from a totally different character's point of view, one who migh tnot even have been introduced in the other stories, but I'm kind of in a holding pattern right now. I'm just not sure where I want it to go yet.

Thanks again though. I'm glad you enjoyed them. I really like the characters and Hannah especially. Her being pregnant was a total shock to me, and I had to change a couple of the things I was planning. Characters can do that to you sometimes!

Doc, just wanted to say thanks again for the best zombie fiction not yet in print (and arguably equal to or greater than the best zombie fiction in print).

I love your dystopian vistas with the touches of Romero. Dystopian vistas populated by very human and very compelling characters.
Even a superhero like Owen is as believable as any guy next door.

So thanks. 8)

I just couldn't stand seeing this thread go idle for nine months. I had to make a post to remind Doc not to forget about this story!

And to make all you guys wish this was an update instead of someone posting for MOAR

Whew, I'm glad I posted this (all of them) here! I was going through my computer and such this morning to look for names so I could write up some Jesse, and found that somewhere along the way when changing computers I had lost a bunch of the story!
