One year... I will make this. :(

It sucks hearing all the great stories from Brax and Crytpo about how awesome the class was, knowing that I should have gone.

The Tagging Of The Side-View Mirror at about 23 seconds in makes it worth booting up the computer... but then again, I'm biased :crazy:

It's wild how slow getting out of the vehicles looks on video. It seemed plenty fast first hand watching and participating!

Now you see why I laughed at crypto's "it must have been the muzzle blast" theory...

Video not available on mobile due to the song used (hey, at least it wasn't deleted)

Here's the mobile friendly version made (with not as good music, IMO)

This link won't work for me for some reason.

I'm not a FaceyPage user, though, so I don't have an account. Do I need one to see these?

Cool vids and good AARs, folks!

Thank you Drill Instructor!!

As an aside, I just finished packing away the last of my gear, and my expended round count was as total:

9 mm - 380 rounds
5.56 / .223 - 500 rounds

I don't know if this is considered a high round count or not for a 3 day class, but the amount of firing seemed about right to me considering a good chunk of our time was spent in dry-firing drills and classroom style sessions. I imagine the burn rate was highest during the contact style drills and vehicle live- fire, and even that was largely dependent on how much the student wanted to shoot (ask TheLastOne and Redeyes about their team movement drills... :clap:)

I was actually surprised that I only fired that much pistol. I was happy that we did a LOT of pistol work during this class, but in hindsight we did a lot of drills that only expended 1, 2 or 3 rounds for both pistol and rifle.

SO, my take away is that going to the range and spending an hour doing quality drills (draw and fire once to the A zone, VTAC barricade drills, dot torture) allows you to get a good training session in without dumping a huge amount of rounds down range. Combine that philosophy with more dry-fire training and you can weather the ammo panic and not have your skills degrade that much.

Thanks for the round count Dan!

Information like that really helps us when developing the training for future classes.

I would like to see round counts from others posted up.

Thanks!

Best guestimate looking at empty stripper clips vs rebagged loose ammo:

7.62= maybe 5-600 (felt like 800)
556 (night)= maybe 100
9= under 500

Really felt like I shot a lot more than that!
