I wonder how many people can set a snare? :?:

There is nothing to setting a snare. They are easy to make but I buy them with a cable stop. Use these guys: http://www.snareshop.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SNARE511
There is a 12 and 12 rule where I am currently living (loop and ht) and they should be tagged, by law. If you are adept at seeing throughways they can be counted upon for small game; and, the .22 is fantastic for small game. Squirrel and rabbit are both great eating. Whether sitting still or letting the beagle work, my model 41 has served me well. Back when I could buy 5000 rounds for $65 through CMP people thought I was "wastin' my money." Arguing calibers on the internet is a fool's game so I'll just recommend that you pack a .22lr to go with whatever else you like.

Try a revolver. They don't mind them at all...

A little off topic, but the Desert Eagle magazine might work. Good idea.

Back to the 22lr pistol, it would be useful as you can carry a lot of ammo. Just the threat of getting shot is a good reason to leave someone alone.

Especially in a time/place when modern medicine is not available. Will you bleed out from a .22 hole? Maybe, maybe not, but after few weeks of that same hole collecting bacteria, Sepsis may sneak up and strike you down.

People don't stop to think "Is that just a .22?" when there's gunfire and debris in the air either.
