Glock Armorers DVD...

Post by JohnE » Wed Oct 17, 2012 12:15 am

Anyone have personal experience with the one available at Midway?

They've got a package for $40 that includes a Glock dis-assembly tool, a mat with parts diagrams printed on it and the DVDs.

Wondering if it's worth it for someone wanting to learn more about working on their personal guns.

Thanks

Not familiar with the video, but last I knew a glock disassembly tool was almost 30 bucks in itself not that you can't do the same with a pin punch.

Yeah, $40 for the illustrated mat and tool makes it worthwhile regardless of whats on the DVD, IMO.

If I didnt already have a felt mat and a punch set I liked, I'd consider it.

I am a Glock Certified Armorer, and the only tool you will really need is the sub $10 tool. It will take your Glock down to the bare bones, that is what is great about a Glock. There is no need for the $10 mat, or the video. It is an idiot proof gun...

Tool (Or just buy a cheap 3/32 punch.)

One tool that is pretty cheap. Google Glock Armorers Manual download. It's pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the referrals, I ordered the punch and the mat, will watch the video as needed.

Got a new workshop being built, part of which will be dedicated to gun stuff, wanted to get it started with some decent stuff

Planning on setting up some reloading gear in there too.

Thanks again.

The punch from an AK buttstock cleaning kit works great for Glock disassembly too.
