The 15-Minute Shotgun

There's a $2.99 ebook on Kindle that shows how to make a single-shot
12-ga slamfire shotgun for less than ten bucks and in less than 15 minutes.

It has the same title as this post.

It's very well written, fully illustrated, and covers a lot of things including safety, speed-loading, and upgrades.

The thing about this slamfire shotgun is that you can make 15 of them in one day for about the cost of one regular shotgun. The last one I built cost $8.10, and that was with all-new materials.

That means you can have one for everybody's BOB, plus you could stick six more in pipe caches for when the scary gets very hairy, and still have a happy wallet.

They pack really nice. You can put one into a book bag, even.

The 15-Minute Shotgun is good for subsistence hunting & personal defense.

It would also be good for acquiring a complete set of all-new battle-rattle, including a fine rifle, grenades, ammo, and a good pair of boots from someone you don't appreciate that never should have deployed in the United States.

If it comes to that.

Just don't forget to paint the helmet a different color.

Sounds like a decent enough project. When I hear about such a device, I think of this gem:

I'm really not confident in slam-fire weapons. But I'm glad the option exists. Well, I have a friend who did some stupid stuff when he was a kid, so I"m somewhat...sorta...glad they exist.

Hey--thanks for posting that video.

That shotgun really is a terrible piece of design work.

Interesting, but it's horrible to imagine trying to fire that.

There's a guy on YouTube called Royal Nonesuch that has several videos on slamfires
that are worth watching.

He's done some really cool stuff.

He got me started on them.
