Anyone else read, in the middle of reading or considering the book Seveneyes by Neal Stephenson? I am about halfway through it and amazed that I can't find mention of it anywhere in this fine forum. Sure... it has no zombies (At least so far as I've read  ) but it is an epic prepper story.

I don't think I'm giving too much away when I ask... What will happen if the Earth is going to be rendered uninhabitable in two years?

So far it is very sad but I hope he will make it satisfying. He has written many of my favorites.

Glad you like it so far. AGree it's a global or Macro style prepping vs individual style prepping
I've posted about Seveneves several times in this thread:

Just finished Seveneves by one of my favorite authors, Neal Stephenson

Definitely a riveting sci fi apocalyptic novel. Largely different than most of the other apocalyptic novels I've read. I highly recommend it.
Be forewarned it deals with a lot of orbital science and mechanics and swarming drone theory.

Cool near future sciences abound and Stephenson really knows how to build unique worlds and cultures.
If you like Sci-Fi based Post Apoc stories you should go thru the whole thread, there's some excellent recommendations there by a lot of the ZS community

Just finished it. It's good. Neal Stephenson is one of my top three favorite authors.
