Not a gunsmith, so excuse any ignorance, but: since the barrel more or less "shapes" the round as it travels down the bore, how much of an effect would the bolt's location (outside of horrifically off-center) have on the round if it's being "shaped" the same by the barrel's rifling before exiting?
It's enough that at long range you can't get consistent groups through the same hole. I'm not at all saying semi auto's are not accurate but I'm just pointing out that a bolt action holds a much more consistent accuracy.

This thread has turned into more bickering than showcasing stupid guns. (led by Doc Torr and buddychrist, way to ruin it for everyone) We are also getting a lot of duplicates from people who aren't bothering to read it. I think this thread is no longer useful so I'm locking it.
