You know I always wondered how our "Bloop Tubes" are legal in competitive shooting. As I read it the regs basically come down to anything that changes the sound of the round moving though the air as a suppressor, hence needing to be registered as such. True bloop tubes are hollow and only extend you sight radius, but the reality of it is they do change the sound, hence there name "Bloop Tube" lol

ATF has waffled on that too. Look up the GSG5 suppressor/barrel shroud thing from a while back, when the ATF approved the gun for import, then changed their minds and said the barrel shroud was a suppressor for no apparent reason. I think the current interpretation is that anything which decreases the overall decibels (measured from where? No one seems to know) is considered (or can be considered) a suppressor, but really....who knows what standards they'll be using any given day.

Good point, and that cost will be factored into the price.

LastOne, very on topic. Who needs these "grips" everyone is talking about, anyway?

If I recall that "fake" suppressor was a tube extention. Since it's a tube and not a barrel shroud they reckoned that someone could monkey with it or that it actually did reduce the sound signature. The tube is the registered part of a suppressor so even a simple tube does/can reduce sound.

I think your math is off a bit there- 12 ga is just about .750", and 28 ga is much smaller than a 12 ga. At over 2-1/2" bore (2.553"), that wouldn't be a HAND cannon, it would be an actual cannon- as in, artillery piece.

28 gauge is much smaller than a 12 gauge, but I think the point they were making was that .28 gauge is very large.

I'd give it the FAMAS esque charging handle in the carry handle of some of the early M16's and make that the switch. But that's me.

Or color. Safe = green, fire = red, auto = strobe red. Now I'm putting too much thought into this.

You know. If it came in .357, I might consider it. Swap out the stock, but I'd still buy it. That's how bad I want a lever in .357.
