gotta have a silenced .22lr autorifle

best of all, a silenced M4 with a Ciener .22lr conversion unit, of course. you can carry 13 rds of .22lr for every 12 ga shell that you can carry. When you are out of ammo, a gun is just a club. #6 Birdshot is near worthless on anything bigger than a coon, and even then, the range better be close. Buckshot and slugs cost $1 per shot. making all that noise and then being so helpless (vs autorifles) means that the shotgun is a horrible choice. Even for foraging small stuff, the silenced .22lr, with subsonic ammo, is far, far superior to the shotgun. When you miss, critters just sit there. I once took 5 squirrels out of the same tree with a silenced .22lr rifle. With a silenced .22lr pistol, I took 3 doves off of a wire, right beside each other, too, at about 30 yds.

Shorten a Marlin Papoose barrel to 7", counterbore and thread it, remount the front sight and regular .22lr ammo will be subsonic. It's not that hard to rig up a telescoping stock for it, either. Mount a 7/8" scope in a see thru base, and put dayglo paint on the sights, for nighttime work, and have enough sense to not be out and about in daylight, dont have a fire in daylight and dont have one at night that's not in a Dakota pit and you'll be a lot safer than the dummy who's walking around with a FAL. In fact, you can have his Fal in short order (if you want to bother with the pos, that is)

Zantra you need to go read the rules about discussion of illegal acts on the forum.

Shortening the barrel of a rifle as described requires an appropriate tax stamp to be legal.
I am going to lock this thread for review.
