One definition of lust is: An overwhelming desire or craving.

We all do it, whether we admit it or not. And many things we lust after aren't necessarily the most practical things we could own.

But when you want it, you want it. So what are you currently lusting after, firearms wise?

Here's a few I've been wanting to own for awhile now:

Image
My first two handguns were a .357 Ruger Blackhawk and an Ithica 1911A1. Back then I always thought a Coonan .357 magnum would be the best of both worlds. And now I see that they're making them again, I wants it bad.

Image
My dad told me that the first handgun he ever owned was a Webley re-chambered in .45acp. He said he got two of them, one for him and one for my Grandpaw, back when you could buy them mail-order. I would love to have a minty one in the original .455 caliber.

Image
For some reason I've always wanted a .45acp AR carbine. And this Bazooka Brothers lower which is built for grease gun mags looks like the cat's ass for just such a project.

Is it possible to lust after goods that are unattainable?

There are a few goodies I lust after, but am unlikely to ever own (either because they are fictitious or they are not legal or otherwise available to own in my area).

#1 (Non-fictive; not available); K11 Daewoo (bolt-action 20mm Grenade, selective fire 5.56; uses STANAG compatible mags)
Image
I'd take the bolt action in anything from 12 gauge to 37mm if it made it legal to own, but the basic idea and general appearance keeps me up at night.

#2 (Entirely Fictive): STA-52 (interesting gun from a video game I never played)
Image
I'm actually less interested in the rifle as I am in the drum magazine. Double or triple stacked drum... would be heavy, but who cares?

Other than these, my needs are pretty well taken care of.

So many choices, so little money. I just want a rifle, doesn't matter if it's a .22 or an AR.

K-31, My father and grandfather carried one in the army, and alas, they are getting harder to find in Washington.

Nightforce scope for my AR-10, I feel like a schmuck for not firing it in 3 years because it has no optics.

Oh, and a Sig 229 in .40, and a 226 in 9mm

I'd LOOOOOVE one of those M41a Pulse Rifles that some guy made, shoots .45acp with an under-barrel shotgun.

Realistically, a Springfield M1a, but this is what I'm currently saving up for. (Hey, wal-mart pay means it takes a while to be able to afford anything that costs more than $5.)

Actually I think under some circumstances people sometimes don't even know themselves, but that's a bit existential for this thread.

The only thing I really want that I don't have right now is a LaRue OBR. 16" barrel, collapsing stock. Problem is that good glass will cost me about what the rifle will, and I'm not sure I can get that handed to me.

A pre-64 Winchester 94 in .30-30. I went into the shop two days before I had to money to pick one up, and both had been sold.

Colt SAA in .45LC. In my opinion one of the finest handguns ever. Period.

Steyr AUG. It's just fucking sexy.

Finnish 91/30.
