It was actually rather good. If I'd had time to save for it I probably would have come home with some really nice items to add to my collection. One that I'm still kicking myself over, and which I may have to really beg "she who keeps the budget" for and go back Sunday to get was a NIB Taurus TCP with three mags for $175. A few other sellers had the TCP, but nobody had it under $200 and they all had it with just the single magazine.

I saw a guy with TCP for $170 at our local show this weekend. I was tempted to grab one. Instead, I stuck to my purpose. I traded out of my XDS 45 for a 9mm. Mine have an extra mag and the OEM holster and all. I my 45 plus $30 for a XDS 9. It said used, but it had never been fired. No real ware on the barrel. The slide likely had been run by hand a few time. I even hit the innards with q-tip to see if I could pick any soot. Just clean oil/grease. I'm happy and now I don't have the odd ball 45 in my stock of 9mm pistols.

So, what did you do with your 45 ammo?

I gave it to a friend who's a 1911 nut. We grab stuff for each other sometimes when there a deal on something the other needs.

I'm much happier with the mm. The XDS-45 is most tame compact 45 i've shot, and it was accurate, but the 9mm is sooo much easier.

OT: Dovetail front sight blades and a front sight ramp from Midway for the 44 mag project.

Use it as slingshot ammo... probably faster that way than actually shooting it.... :awesome:

Honestly,.. 45 ACP is the only cartridge that send s bullet that I can see tumbling toward a target. But, i don't shoot 45 colt.
9mm on the other hand, I see the target jump, then i hear the bang. :clownshoes:

OT: deer corn?.. that's firearms related.. right? just like buying targets.

I didn't buy this since it was more of a late birthday gift from my mother (I turned 32 back in August), but today I received a Butler Creek ASAP pistol magazine loader today.

I also received a Buck Exert pocket knife, but that's more prep related than firearms related.

Fell into the 9mm trap again. After years of not having one, was window shopping at Academy Sports after work. Left with a matching pistol for my 3-gun rifle “Aereus.”

G43 in battle-worn burnt bronze Cerakote...I had to buy it; it was destiny. Have to get some +2 base plates and get them painted to match.

Some slim line base plates for my CCW pistolas showed up today too:

...and the reason I went to Academy to begin with; a tennis racquet bag for my PDW SBR build “James.”

Yeah, a lot of shorty ARs, bullpups, or carbines with folding stocks will fit in a racket/sneaky bag...

OT: Got another set of concrete anchor screws. One of my gun safes already has 'em, but I've been slack in doing the other one.

Hit the local Academy store yesterday and picked up a 3 pack of Magpul AK Pmags ranger plates and a cheapo Daisy red dot (looks like a Burris Fast Fire knock off) for my 22/45.

Both items were on sale and I paid right around 22 bucks total.

Picked up 3 Magpul AK Pmags from Academy this past weekend.

With these mags, I'm up to 33 mags total for my AKs.

Used a bit of the cash I made from working some hellish OT to pick up this little guy:

First hammer gun, and first 9mm. I'm also a sucker for FDE.

Wife wanted some guns we could both shoot, so I picked up a Ruger 10/22 and a SP101.
