Meet Nellie

Post by mk_ultra » Sun Jul 13, 2008 5:02 pm

This is Nellie , my wife's shotgun (yes she picked it out and payed for it and everything)

It is a Stoeger 12 Guage . It is the only matte nickle gun with an English style stock I have ever seen . It is also a blast to shoot. :D

She picked it up from Sportsman's Warehouse for somewhere around $350 out the door.

Like I said in your other thread, since I am actually able to own one of these, it grabbed my attention. Looks like your wife has a mighty fine looking gun there. I've never seen a break action that is nickel plated before, looks pretty nice! I must confess, I've never been able to get on with double triggers though.

It also seems that you have at least 3 other guns that I want. I am rapidly becoming jealous. How's the M1 Carbine? CMP?

The M1 did come from the CMP . It is a 1943/1944 Inland. Pretty typical.

I actually traded a Beretta 1201fp shotgun that I did not particularly care for straight up for the M1 .

:D

The M1 is my wife's favorite gun to shoot , though she also really likes the ARs

Man one HELL of a coachgun, a bit long but the beauty of it makes up for it!

Just make sure you woman gets plenty of practice with it and get her some 00-Buck for home defense (doesn't have to be 3" Mag either)

Awesome gun!

Just make sure it isn't loaded first, or you will be shooting blanks forever.

Lol, I was going to say it was a bit short! I'm only allowed 24" as the minimum barrel length over here, so 20" sounds pretty good to me!

That is one pretty Shot gun. I love it.

I can just see the raider bursting in during the PAW, only to find Mrs. Mk Ultra with that, ready to blow off the invaders bollocks.

I've never considered a Shotgun without a magazine before today.

Aside from the gun, you have some of the best taste in furniture I've ever seen.

Damn that scatter gun is a beauty, and you say it belongs to the Mrs?

One thing I love about it is that the thing shoots as fast as a semi ( for two shots) , you can put a lot of buckshot in front of you fast. :D

I have some A-zoom snap caps and have practiced reloading and am starting to get pretty fast.

I am going to get a leather buttstock shell-holder and have considered trimming the stock down and adding a recoil pad.

I am also considering sending it to Coyote Cap for an action job when funds permit.

VERY nice!

Coach guns have always made me tingly.

Maybe sometime you can post a photo of a target that has taken both barrels at the same time?

My local gun shop has a double trigger Baikal SxS with an english stock for £75 - its very tempting, but I don't need 3 shotguns do I? I would love it with 20" barrels, but I would get in lots of trouble :(

And yes, the Stoeger 12 Guage is a very nice shotgun, if I could own one I would DEFINATLEY buy one.
