Gotta use the full site link (not the mobile) and delete the "s" in "https".

Apparently I have far more revolvers than pistols. Though I did forget one of the pistols for this pic.

It was a busy two weeks. The Best Wife in the World bid this for me as an early anniversary present:

Image

Image

Image

That's an Inglis made, Nationalist Chinese contract, Browning Hi Power with detachable holster/shoulder stock.

This arrived to me on site, via a friend:

Sten Mk II kit with 8 mags to turn into a semi post-apoc beater.

Image

And I wound up buying these:

Viking era, found north of Archangelsk, was billed at some point as a throwing axe, but the seller and I agree it is most likely a small shaping axe.

Image

Image

Again from the Battle of Kulikovo, but appears to be a mount for a battle standard--it's bronze and not sharp.

Alright, let's bring this up to date.

Winchester Model 12 trench gun, 1944 mfr

1936 Tula sniper with original scope, not a Ukraine refit.

Image

Japanese Type 97 Sniper with scope and case.

Image

Walther G41, though the mag is non-standard but appears to be a factory mod.

Got more old stuff in.

Williams and Powell, fits my wife perfectly. About 1880

Also about 1880.  Westley Richards Best Grade.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Henri Pieper, Belgium, 1883. This has the patent for the monoblock breech he invented.

Image

Image

Image

W&C Scott & Sons, Special Grade, about 1873. Also 10 gauge.  This has the patented cylinder latch they invented, now standard on most shotguns.

Image

Image

Mortimer, Edinburgh, about 1840.  Percussion damascus 12 gauge.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Drilling, Robert Faller, Germany, about 1920.  16x16 over 8X58R Sauer rifle. I stripped the varnish and oiled the stock.  2X Zeiss optic is original.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Cape gun. Unknown maker, Germany, about 1800.  Originally flint converted to percussion. Caliber .61.  Polygonal straight left, rifled right.  I rebrowned the barrels, relaminated the cheek, and did two stock repairs.

I wonder if some of these came from the auction of my cousin's guns this past year. That would be an interesting coincidence. He was from Wisconsin but the guns and cars were auctioned in Indiana.

Edit to comply with posting rules (though global mods should be exempt from thread rules)

No, they came from a fellow collector here, very much alive, and a couple of outfitters in Maine. Also, thread rules require an image post.

My M1D finally has a scope.

Pics and links only. :)

The rules apply to everyone.

For wheel gun fans I bought one of these not too long ago. It is in very good shape and works well.

The Fine Gun family pic, all together.

From the top:

Cape Gun, 20 bore, German, about 1800, converted from flint to percussion. Straight polygonal left, rifled right.

Mortimer 12 gauge damascus percussion, Edinburgh, about 1850.

W&C Scott & Sons Special Grade 10 gauge twist, London, 1873. Has the patented spindle latch now standard on most shotguns.

Henri Pieper Diana, 10 gauge twist, Liege, 1883. Has the patent for the monoblock breech.

Williams and Powell 12 gauge, Liverpool, about 1880, Anson and Deeley boxlock, patent use number 2952. Rebarreled by Stubbs of London, 1955ish.

Westley Richards damascus 12 gauge, Birmingham, about 1876. Completely refinished. Anson and Deeley patent use number 1518.

Haenel Gew 88 safari sporter, 8mm Mauser, double set triggers, Suhl, 1909.

Robert Faller drilling, 16 gauge over 8X58R Sauer, Freiberg, 1912-1915.

Luciano Rota sidelock, 12 gauge, Italy, imported by Badol Arms, about 1965.
