What firearm that you used to own are you really wishing you still had?

In my case, I think the rifle would be my old Winchester Model 70 in .22-250 Rem. For pistol, it's a toss up between the Bauer .25 ACP I used to carry in a shirt pocket or my dads old S&W Model 10 revolver.

For rifles, it'd be my Yugo SKS I traded to a friend years ago.

For pistols, I'd like to get back the RIA 1911 I traded to the same friend or maybe the GP100 I sold last year. If I could get all three guns back, that'd be awesome.

Enfield No 4 Mk1. I think I paid $125 for it back in the early 90s. It was all "original" with nice wood. It was a Savage with the free float barrel. Took me hours to get all the Cosmoline off of it. Technically it is still in the household. But after the wife took a deer with it, it migrated to her closet and I have come to realize recently it is never coming back. That was 12 years ago. I miss her still. Not the wife, she is still around.

All of 'em. Every single one I let go of. :(

I miss them all.

I've never gotten rid of one yet, partially because it seems anyone who has ever gotten rid of one seems to regret it, partially because I am very picky and do a lot of research before I get one. Because of this I haven't regretted getting one either.

Not something I used to own, but there are a lot of surplus and classic guns I wish I'd bought when they were still cheap. Or, in a lot of cases, reasonably available at all.

I'm still kinda angry at a friend of mine who bored out his dad's Enfield and made a single-shot .410 out of it. I even offered to swap him a proper .410 beforehand. (It doesn't help that I hold a really low opinion of .410 to start with.)

The first AK I ever built.

I still wish I had everyone of them that I sold or traded, but since I always traded up I don't miss most of them that much. The two exception would be a Ruger Speed Six and a Ballester Molina.

This exactly.

Never sold or traded a single gun I've acquired. That said . I've mentioned before , my FIL picked up a MAS 36 at a garage sale and gave it to me to clean up. I really liked that little rifle. Never had a a carbine that balanced and pointed so well. Was fairly accurate. He offered it to me for 60 bucks. Which to me at the time seemed to much. I still really kick myself for not buying it. It looked like this

I have bought, sold, traded and built guns for the majority of my life. Regrets I have in abundance.
The top of the list would be a 6mm ppc built on a stolle teddy action (discontinued) by mr Kelby himself. I won many matches and set (for a very brief interlude) a world record with that gun.
Then I became a single father of a severely handicapped child and all those games went by the wayside and adult priorities took over.

Rating nearly as high would be the sti grandmaster I won - it was a thing of beauty, in blue with razor perfect sabertooth serrations and a trigger like gossamer thread of glass.

I would have to say my Mossberg 930. I gave it up after the forend cracked/blew apart when I shot some slugs through it. Customer service sent me a new one, but were pretty unhelpful otherwise.

As a trap gun, it was pretty solid, and I think I was just kind of scratching the surface with what it could do.

Getting rid of it did allow me to acquire an SKS though, so I'm pretty happy about that.

I've traded and wheeled and dealed kinda constantly, always changing my collection and narrowing and expanding my tastes....

But only one gun I truly regret trading and wish I had not...

Dan Wesson .357

It had a beat up finish, too large 8" barrel, but it was the most accurate handgun I've ever shot. Got it for $250, traded it for $350 value. So I didn't lose money.

Traded it on a Turkish Canik CZ75 compact clone. The Canik is a great little gun, but I really just wish I had my ole shooting iron back.

I never lost money but there are a few times I could have done better if I'd waited a bit longer. Several SKS's either Chinese or Yugo; My M44 Mosin and a Chinese Tokarev.

The ones I really wish I'd hung onto are the Ruger Speed 6, Beretta CX4 carbine and Ballester Molina, in that order.

Can we expand it to guns we wish we'd bought? Because there are a lot of milsurp guns I really wish I'd bought when they were cheap.

Benelli M4. It was a great gun.

I would add to that the Neos carbine kit (turns a Beretta Neos in to a rifle), saw one for sale, had the cash in my pocket, but wasn't sure how it would handle. shot one a few years later, and have been kicking myself for not buying it since.

WWI Vickers in .303.

Not terribly practical (weighed in at over 150# without transit case, water or ammo) but it was one of the few guns I've owned that was set up from the factory for indirect fire. Seriously...the rear sight stood up almost a foot from the top of the receiver when elevated.
