My fiance is buying me an engagement present
My fiance is buying me an engagement present. I spent money on a ring so I get a gun.
I'm thinking M9a1 for a future classic. Or maybe something useful like a Glock or M&P2.0.
Or wildcard it.
Let's chat about it.

HK VP9 or Sig P320 x carry. I have a love-hate relationship with both Sig and the 320 but I like the trigger, looks and grip angle. The M&P with an apex trigger is cool too, Glock is ok if you like bland workhorses, imo.JeeperCreeper wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 9:38 pmMy fiance is buying me an engagement present. I think this is going to need its own topic. So mote it be!JeeperCreeper wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 9:38 pmMy fiance is buying me an engagement present. I spent money on a ring so I get a gun.

Now, I think we need to narrow things down a bit so, NFA or not NFA?

Congrats for finding someone you want to spend your life with!

I think that would depend on how far out is the wedding date. anything if less than 1/2 a year, go non-NFA. you wouldn't want the dealer to still have the engagement gift during the wedding.NT2C wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 10:28 pmI think this is going to need its own topic. Cool, it's now a thread!!
I might make a list of my considerations and make a poll or something.

Re: My fiance is buying me an engagement present
Congrats on the engagement. Does she enjoy or at least show an interest in shooting? If so maybe you could look at getting something that down the road you could get her her own version of. Maybe I’m a hopeless romantic but I think few things say love like going to the range with his & hers guns.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it, & you can bet they'll whine that nobody warned them.

Heirloom piece? or practical piece?
Maybe instead of a Future Classic go for a Classic Classic - Da Hi Powa!
or a Glock.
