We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother

Cold War era battle rifle in 7.62
Dragunov 7.62x54r rifle- it's not a dedicated sniper rifle but a marksman rifle similar to the M-14 with a scope used by the US. Well regarded the world over. Has scope and iron sights.

Pistol- Compact 9mm single action
1915 DWM 9mm Luger-great ergonomics, good accuracy, incredible craftmanship and still works great 100 years + and growing

Re: Let's Play Mix and Match With Transition Fire
Standard issue M-14 with synthetic stock paired with a Remington 1911R1
The M-14 was my favorite rifle when I was a gunner's mate, could hit damned near anything I aimed at with one, and I spent many an hour with a slab of 1911 on my hip, or in my hand at the range. I can hit my target 8/8 with it.

Standard regular AK setup and CZ P-07
I just kinda like both

Bolt action rifle - G22
KSG shotgun - 1911
M1 Garand - P226
M1 carbine - 357
MBR - compact 9
SBR - 380
Tryin' to have one of the pair have a decent capacity and/or quick/easy reload.

Re: Let's Play Mix and Match With Transition Fire
That's along the lines I was thinking, except I was thinking the M1 Carbine would likely go well with the 1911 and maybe give the Glock to the KSG. If you have a bolt gun the strategy is likely to stay hidden so the .357 would be a decent longer range pistol with plenty of power.
Just spittin' here though.

Re: Let's Play Mix and Match With Transition Fire
Bolt action rifle - G22 Powerful and long range but slow rifle in 7mm Rem Mag, complimented with large capacity pistol for SD.
KSG shotgun - .380 I am looking for large thin skinned targets at close quarters. If the 12 ga is not enough none of these pistols will be work so may as well carry a light weight pistol so I can carry more 12 ga. Though the 357 may also work here.
M1 Garand - 1911 cuz a 1911 and garand just belong together.
M1 carbine - Compact 9 (Glock 19 or 23) to save weight since I am obviously traveling light today
MBR PTR-91 - .357 since I am obviously loaded out for bear today, though the PPK may also work here
SBR (m-4orgery)- Sig 226 would compliment this in terms of short range impact power, since I am expecting multiple targets at between 25 and 300 yards.
Honestly I would take the .357 or the Sig 226 with any of these combinations.

ideally bolt action rifle, ideally in a caliber that will do range and punch (6.8 creedmoor, magnum rounds, .408 cheytac etc), switch caliber is considered bonus.
large capacity pistol, with simple controls for close in defence....I mean target shooting (since in Australia we can't own handguns for anything but target shooting

Hmmmm.
Rifle would have to be a FAL.
Pistol will be a CZ75 PCR.

Deja Vu, every video game I've ever played and is half the fun of the games. Youtube search 'the best loadout'.
Long Guns:
- SBR AR, set up for CQB - Modern SA Pistola striker fire- ease with ease.
- KSG Shotgun - 357 - kick with kick.
- Bolt Action Rifle set up for long range shooting - PPK need the weight reduction.
- 7.62 Battle Rifle (your Choice), Cold War era - Glock tail end cold war gun
- M1 Garand - 1911 'cause just goes
- M1 Carbine - same, just goes together like peas and carrots.

I think that's a Yugo SKS durocaoted and with an aftermarket heat shield.
I would have reblued it but that's me. Something like this.

I remember this line " My SKS is like a bold and brash cowboy outlaw, while the AR is like....well....... a metro-sexual.
I don't want to go into Zombie battle feeling inadequate. " Cracks me up
