Just saw these online... kinda cool. Possibly ingenious, but also possible to be a novelty that doesn't work: Screw in barrel extensions to have a 21 inch shotty turn into a 30 inch shotty...

Tactical Edge Arms AR-15 Style Pistols (RD-9, RD-10, RD-45)

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/12/14/tactical-edge-arms-ar-15-style-pistols-rd-9-rd-10-rd-45/

Tactical Edge Arms has added 10mm and .45 ACP versions of their RD series of pistols. The 9mm version was introduced earlier in October. The model designations RD-9, RD-10 and RD-45 indicate the calibers these firearms are chambered in – 9mm Luger, 10mm Auto and .45 APC respectively.

I have to drive into DC on Saturday with my wife to pick up things from her office (she's working from home now 4 out 5 days a week and she's been issued computer equipment for home). My CHP is not valid in DC, and I wouldn't be able to go armed in a federal building anyway, but I'm sure going to feel naked... :gonk:

Well... Springfield Armory was "teasing" their new product... hinting at a 10mm....

http://www.springfield-armory.com/produ ... -trp-10mm/

Yep, it's a TRP 1911 in 10mm with a 5" or 6" bbl.

I was hoping (still am) for an XDm in 10mm. But nope. Another 10mm 1911.... wooooooooooooooooow.

The last time Springfield teased a product, we ended up with the Saint AR.

On the subject of a 10mm XD, why hasn't someone made a conversion kit for that yet ?

Since Springfield seems to be dragging their ass on making one in house, you'd think some enterprising aftermarket company out there would jump on it and make one.

I'm not sure about this specific manufacturer's implementation, but extended length choke tubes have been around for quite a while and I havne't heard of them having problems. (I've only seen them on regular single-barrel guns, never on a double-barrel shotgun).

Then you just need to get some of those drop-in rifle adapters.

Is .400 Super the same as .400 CorBon or they completely different ?

I seem to recall someone making a .400 CorBon conversion kit for XD's years ago along with Glock and 1911 kits.

Since the chrony was registering 1800+ fps....I'd wager they actually meant .40 Super.

Oh, ok. I'd actually never heard of .400 Super and really couldn't find much info on it online.

I've heard of .400 CorBon and used to know a lady who had a conversion kit for her 1911, but I'd never heard of .400 Super.

Yes, after doing more research I think they meant 40super. I still cant find if there is a bbl I can buy to swap it into my Glock40. Everything I've read online shows that they actually build Glock21 sf (I not sure what sf is but I think that's what they keep calling it). However all the information I found is older 2009-2012 or even older. So the Glock40 wasn't even a twinkle in someones eye at that point. It sounds like an amazing cartridge, I'd love to see if its something I could swap in just to have some fun.

I think the 'sf' means short frame or slim frame or something along those lines.

Thanks, didn't take the time to look that up... but damn. I've been reading about so many calibers! I'm loving the .40 super just wish it was more popular. It's like a much more powerful 10mm I mean 400fps faster with the same bullets.

I'd love to convert one of my .45 ACP Glocks to either .460 Rowland or maybe .50 GI at some point, but for now I'm keeping them in the factory caliber.

Well, that and I'd rather not stock another caliber at this point. I'm actually considering downsizing my collection to just a few calibers instead of the eight different ones I currently stock. I'm not sure if I'll go through with it or not, but it's an idea I've had.

Yeah, I'm not looking to "stock" any new calibers. I have 10mm that's 40cal. So maybe a 40 s/w and 40 super, so no new caliber. But cartridges, that's another... hahhaha

Question, I know people shoot 40s/w out of their 10mm. the only issue I can think of is the head space. so the with the .40 being shorter it may not be kosher. However I don't see the difference between .38spl and .357, its a similar scenario. I have a metric fuck ton of 40 brass, would be nice to have both 10mm and 40s/w.
