Springfield Saint?

Post by FreuderLocks » Thu Sep 22, 2016 9:15 am

I got the email, still no idea. I think it's a bra, but I could be wrong. Rumor is it may be a rifle or a revolver...any one have any info? There was nothing at SHOT show about it.

I'll be at a SA event soon and I'll have the skinny to write about this, and likely some other stuff. I'll post the links when they are live. Can't really say anything more now.

I would put money on it being a training program or academy like the Sig Academy.

Springfield Armory Insurance, Nuggets and Training

They're going to combine firearm owners insurance, deep fried chicken paste and firearms training all into one convenient package.

Yep I agree. I think SAINT has to be an acronym. The advertising with the gym equipment and being ready, I just don't think it is a product but more a service.

Springfield Armory Individual Ninja Training

Get you some sweet wall-jumping skills to go along with your eXtreme Duty pistol. Chicks dig guys in pajamas and toe shoes.

(This could actually turn out to be a really cool product and/or service. The name just seems silly to me.)

Just checked out their website. They have been "unlocking" video clues to the SAINT. They mention "will be releasing a new firearm like no other" or something like that. The trend is still competition and fitness, so it must be a gun marketed to crossfitters.

Sadly, I am more interested in this thing due to it annoying me with its cliche marketing than actually wanting to buy another Springfield.

Maybe it's an XD or 1911 with a built in pedometer and a heartbeat monitor.

People use Saints as good luck and to "watch over them". Its a CCW.

People working out have a hard time figuring out where to carry, so Springfield Armory developed a pistol that can be safely carried along your taint and won't blow your junk off, hence "protect your legacy."

That is the case with me as well. It almost seems like it's some sort of parody than something they want us to take seriously. Bearded operators, dramatic lighting, and using none other than George Washington to peddle your product. Seems like Poe's Law has struck the firearms industry.

I can justify the cliches due to Springfields involvement in the Revolution.
