What is Your Favorite Gun?
What is your favorite gun? It's not necessarily one that you own or even could legally own....of any firearm of any type from any era...what is your favorite? For me, it's the .357 Magnum Colt Python. I remember being a kid at Canadian tire drooling over the Crossman .357 air guns that were near perfect replicas of the Python. I grew up in the 70s and 80s when most of the guns featured in movies and TV were revolvers and the worst of the bad guys as well as the best of the good guys always seemed to have a Colt Python strapped on.

I'm boring. AR-15.
I find the design to be intriguing and the ergonomics and modularity are second to none.

Ak. -74 or -47. Galil, or South African R series. 7.62x51 if it has a 20 inch barrel. The more I play with the platform, the more I like it.

I am going to have to go with the M4 I carried in the military. Tough to beat. If it were 6.5 it would have been perfect.
You go 'round and around it
You go over and under
I go through

I'm with Dave_M on this one.
It's kind of hard for me to really pick a single favorite gun.

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
To further muddy the waters, even in the same category I have different favorites for different reasons. IE: Sor subguns I like the Thompson because grandpa carried one (and there's something, 'about it') but the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 is a very nice shooting gun.12_Gauge_Chimp wrote:I'm with Dave_M on this one.

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
I suppose one gun that has always interested me is the Colt SAA.
My mother had one when I was a kid and I just thought it was the neatest thing back then. I kind of want to track down that specific gun, but I haven't been able to find it in the past 20 years.
I may have to just break down and special order a replica of it from Colt if I ever have the money to do so.

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
Humped it, jumped it, absolutely loved it (except those times when I also packed the bipod, T&E, spare barrel ...
).

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
Based on what I own(ed) it would be the Win Mod 70, followed closely by the 1911.

ALL OF THEM... even a Caracal
Seriously though, my #1 overall draft pic would be a boring 1911... even though they aren't the best, I don't even really love the one I have, but just because of the sexiness and history.
But my runner-ups would be:
-Bolt rifle: Springfield 1903
-Semi rifle: SKS (maybe even AK platform)
-Revolver: Ruger Blackhawk
-Pistol: CZ75
-Shogun: Ithaca 37

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
This may come as a shock to some.
AR-15: By far may favorite cartridge is the 6.5 Grendel. I can't wait to grab some Wolf steel case. Accurate, low recoil, hard hitting. E-Lander mags are rocking good, need some more.
Glock: 19 is the bomb. The only one I hate is the single stack 45 ACP.
CZ 75 series. The new alloy frames are my preferred; P-01 and PCR are my faves.

I'm all in love with my 228. Shoots great. But I'm pretty slutty and I like other guns too

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
Rifle: My old plain vanilla Ruger 10/22. Float like a butterfly/Sting like a bee
Shotgun: The Remington Sportsman '48 16 gauge that was my first shooter. Still defending America from feral dove after 66 years and making me look sexy while it does it.
Pistol: My 90's aluminum frame ParaOrdinance P14-45. I've run about 25k rounds through it and only had to replace the firing group. (because it started firing bursts at around 20K rounds

Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
I absofreakin'lootley love my G17. Or any G17, really. They're all the same. I think that's part of the charm for some reason. I really really like my LCR and my S&W 360 kit. But I love my G17.
It stops being funny when it starts being you.
Re: What is Your Favorite Gun?
I try to rotate through my collection every week. Sadly at the end of the week, I am always shocked to find the weapon used that week was my favorite. I think this is a good thing. However if I had to pick a favorite, probably the firearm that I would sell or give up last, it would be my .45 ACP H&K USP.
I am not a 'gray man'. I am a brown man, coyote brown. With FDE highlights, of course.
