Since I’ve pretty much made it my EDC firearm, I decided to go ahead and order an OWB holster for my STI Staccato-C. Not many vendors making them yet, but was pleased to see Savoy Leather makes one...have a couple of their holsters and very pleased with the quality.

I’m just ordering a plain holster, but while perusing the gallery this one caught my eye:

So ‘fess up...who ordered this holster?

Guns.com - Yeet Cannon: Hi-Point Bows to Crowd-Favored YC9 Handle for new 9mm Pistol

Ohio-based Hi-Point firearms have announced their new 2nd generation 9mm handgun will be dubbed the YC9, after an online public poll.

The company, known for budget handguns and carbines over their 25-year history, has this year moved to bring a modernized handgun series to market. The new gun, a seriously updated version of Hi-Point’s staple C9 series blowback action pistol, was the subject of a “Name the Nine” contest which soon saw “Yeet Cannon” proposed and quickly surge to the top of the list of suggestions.

Abbreviated as YC9, Hi-Point said nearly 96 percent of the 326,722 votes cast in the poll went for the Yeet.

I need a favor from some of you guys. I trust y'alls opinions a lot more than a bunch of strangers. In this short linked video on Imgur, am I getting concerned about nothing when I criticize the guy's muzzle discipline? I think at one point his finger even goes inside the trigger guard while it's flagging his own right foot. Or am I seeing things?

Can't tell. So glad he is one of those catch and release kind of assholes guys. The last one let two foxes go right at the end of my driveway that ended up killing six of my chickens. We had a long talk about him never returning when I found out. Gifting other people with someone else's problems is a rude way to go through life.

Probably should have had it in a holstered at that point, but why do you need a gun in that situation anyhow? It's not great. Don't think he swept anything or fingered the trigger, but if he fell forward or the zombie possum attacked at the moment he grabbed the pistol we might be watching a viral video instead.

That kind of awkward handed technique is what gets people cut by their own machetes in 'naked and afraid'. It's like it happens so fast you can't even say 'no, don't' before something bad happens or it doesn't and its in the past. But keep doing stuff that way and the odds will catch up to you.

That was one of the points I tried to make there, that he should have just kept it holstered. IMHO he was only a tiny glitch in the plan from putting rounds into the truck and/or the passenger filming. He wasn't really focused on picking up the weapon and could have easily ended up with a finger on the trigger if the possum jostled the cage and made the pistol move or slide. If you really think you need to keep the animal covered while releasing it, get the passenger to put down the camera and help. One person releases it, one person covers it. I'm also not happy with the muzzle direction the weapon has when the clip opens. It's aimed at the vehicle, probably the right front wheel area, and there's a passenger inside. That was enough to grab my attention. Makes me wonder who/what he flagged drawing it and putting it down like that.

What's y'alls opinion on the Radian Raptor AR charging handle ?

I'm considering getting one of their LT models from Aim Surplus, but I'd like to hear some opinions on them.

I'd also like opinions on other brands I ought to look at. I know Geiselle and BCM make good charging handles and with some saving up, I can probably swing getting one of those if the Raptor LT isn't a good choice.

I have raptor charging handles on my AR-10 and my SBR AR-15. They are much faster and easier to use than the standard. they are also ambidextrous. Finally they are good at reducing the gas vented to the rear when shooting suppressed. I just got an AR-9 and because it doesn't have a last round hold, I will Raptorize it as quickly as possible too.

I don't have a Raptor on my wife's AR-15 because she doesn't shoot as much as I do and she insists it is not worth it to her. Not a unanimous vote but...

I have a Raptor on my LMT .308 and ambi BCM's on most of my AR-15's. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Thanks for the info, y'all. :D

I'm probably going to place an order for a Raptor charging handle in the next few days.

Are you going to buy directly from Radian or who?
I've been looking into a Radian Rifle build w/ 18" barrel. I've priced out the Radian parts [Upper, lower, handguard, charging handle] and its going to be expensive, looking for another distributer that might have better prices. But i've heard Radian is quality and they have a feature that is rare on their lowers, everything is ambidextrous, even the bolt release.
Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, the AX556 is a fully ambidextrous lower receiver for AR15-style firearms. In addition to the Talon Ambidextrous Safety Selector, left-side magazine release, and right-side bolt release, the AX556 features the patented A-DAC (Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch), which allows right-handed shooters to easily lock the bolt to the rear without taking their hand off fire control. To hold the bolt back using the A-DAC, simply pull the charging handle to the rear, depress the right-side magazine release button, then release the charging handle. Other features and specifications include: https://radianweapons.com/lower-receiver

I'm looking to buy from either Aim Surplus or Midway USA.

Well, I just placed my order for a new charging handle for my AR.

Ended up going with a Geiselle Super Charging handle instead of the Radian Raptor-LT. The Geiselle was only a couple bucks more than the Raptor-LT, so I placed my order and hopefully I'll have my new charging handle within the next few days.

I've never owned anything Geiselle before, so this will be new to me. I've heard really good things about their triggers, so I'm hoping their charging handles are as good.

Looks like I made a great choice then.

Hopefully Aim Surplus will ship my order soon, but since I ordered it past business hours, I figure it might be a day or so until it ships.

By the way, anyone know how to log out of Aim's new site ? I logged in yesterday to place my order and I don't see an option to log out like on the old site.

For a guy who is internet legendary for talking a whole bunch without saying anything this thing is absolutely epic in that regard. I kept hitting the "10 second advance" hoping he would say something but nope. After about 12 minutes of blather I just kind of gave up.

I haven't watched a Nutnfancy video in a real long time.

I think the last one I watched was the one where he talked about someone breaking into his truck and stealing some stuff.

In other news, I got my Geissele Super Charging handle in the mail the other day. I think I found the charging handle I'll be putting on any other AR I build or buy in the future.

Well, him and just about every other big time gun reviewer on YouTube I found.

Seems to be about one of the only thing those guys all agree on.

But yeah, it's a good buy for me. I've heard good things about Geissele in the past, both on ZS and over on YouTube, so I figured I'd try them.

I was going to get a Radian Raptor-LT, but the Geissele SCH was only about 10 bucks more, so I ordered one of those instead.

Claude ham mercy.

I thought this show got cancelled a few years ago, but it would appear that there's going be an all new season. If you want to play a helluva drinking game, take a shot/drink every time one of these wooly-boogers muzzle sweeps one of their teammates or the cameraman.

I'd have bene wasted on the first 30 seconds of the trailer.

We never took guns on our "snipe hunts". Just seems like a bad idea. Besides which how do you explain why you need a shirt or a pair of pants to catch a snipe if you have a gun?
