Re: Ukrainian riots

Mrs. is from Odessa. She says that not much unrest there---yet. Reports of local police stating they will not go against protesters there.
Runs on food and banks.
She says Odessa region has a long history of shooting sports, so many people have firearms---contrary to what you might think.

Doing this without a transfer switch is HIGHLY ILLEAGAL---pole transformers work both ways. If you put 110VAC into your panel box, without a switc...

Re: Using the Trucker's Hitch to Hoist or Stretch a Zombie

we always called it a "hay knot" for tying down a load of hay bales. I always forgot which way to turn the loop over the winter, so the first few times the next summer I had to worry the knot out or cut the rope; instead of being a quick release.

I think the first gen ILBE (black hardware) was available in Coyote and MARPAT.

I wasn't sure how to secure the ends.
I had about 3' on each tail, and I didn't want to waste it; so the Mrs. did some funky macreme knots.

Many vendors for food, solar and water purification. 3-4 bunker firms. Only 1 or 2 folks with normal gear displays, but MANY with medical kits---everything from IFAK to platoon sized packs. Smattering of natural healing types I didn't realize it before I went, but there was a gun show at the other e...

Up till now, all of my nessisities have been scattered in small pouches in my truck---toolbox, behind seat, etc. Since I got these packs for free, I decided it is time to assemble everything together--it will still stay in th...

Always been into being prepared, but in the last few years; since the zombies seem to have taken over the financial sector, the preps are becoming more focused.
