Hunting & Patrolling - (Graphic)

Reading this will let you know some recent lessons in patrolling, in using red dot sights, in using 7.62x39 for deer hunting, in using ham radios when deer hunting, in using an AK when deer hunting, hunting around suppressors, and how to properly freeze your butt off. I got to go deer hunting with s...

Re: Where There are No Police

One cannot complain all the time about the quality of policing and then wonder why the police have stopped showing up to calls. Sure they can. If a failure in logic has brought one to this situation there is no reason to think that logic will suddenly poke it's head out and make an appearance. I wi...

Re: Where There are No Police

I expect to see more of this, but without the cameras, in neighborhoods all over America. Starting with towns in Maryland and Illinois. Just my predictions. Why MA and IL, particularly? Basically, "politics." There are neighborhoods with very testy relationships with the police. What I've read is p...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

The rise of the "sig brace" has led to a plethora of compact 9mm sub guns. H&K is just responding to the market and all the competitors who have an edge on them now. With good entry guns under $500 they are going to have trouble making any inroads. True, but I feel they are the truest poster child ...

You can't vote twice. So that/s eight votes for Boaty ( First Boaty chat thread ) That was the other woodsghos...

Re: 22LR in a rifle, ok for defense?

What I'm hearing is "I need a .22 to be my weekend bullet hose." For that purpose, I would consider a 10/22 or some other dedicated .22 AR style rifle. The reason being you really want something you can shoot a lot, shoot fast, and won't quit on you in the middle of a mag. The Ruger 10/22 has a goo...

Last time I overnighted in an airport I also had a ferro rod and piece of steel, in addition to clothes, electronics, and a water bottle. I didn't need the ferro rod, but I was glad to have it. You never know when you might need to do some wilderness survival.

At the risk of thread drift ( haha who me ? ) I'm kinda interested in why after a 14 year absence from the boards , you seem to be at the same or less point of prepping and experience with firearms. Don't mean to sound too nosey but for what reasons did you abandon ( or appear to ) prepping , but m...

I would publicly ask about the warranty. Basically, get out in public whether they will back their warranty or not.

And I would consider polishing off the corrosion stain.
