Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

I bought a 120G flashdrive at Walmart for $20 or $30 and copied everything on there. A friend just recently changed my operating system due to Windows 7 no longer being supported. I got off Windows 10 a little while back.

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

If Iran invades Nebraska, I'm ready. Katana and all. (Not really, I don't own a katana :( )

Thanks people for the tips on bill paying.

People like to talk about wars and such. This is the type of stuff I think can actually cause a world wide problem.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I had an interesting time at the range today. I shot my Ruger LC9 and lost my firing pin out the back of the gun twice (out of 2 shots for the day). I think there must be a retaining pin which must have got broken. Since this is my CCW it kinda made my sphincter tighten. I'll be hearing from a gun s...

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

I'm not at all worried about WW3 because it kinda takes a bunch of countries fighting a bunch of other countries to make a "WW3." Who is going to join Iran? Who is going to fight along side them to make a "WW3?" Pakistan? Turkey? Afghanistan? Persians living in California? The only country which cou...

Re: Hunting & Patrolling - (Graphic)

A little late to this thread but I thought I would share some of my thoughts and experiences. First, it sounds like it was a pretty traumatic experience for you overall, and one that didn't result in a successful harvest. Hopefully your next hunt will be more successful using what you learned this ...

M813: Again, great responses. And I don't give people access to enough of my life for them to cause a real problem. I have trusted and been burned, but I try to put in means of limiting damage and only allowing people into a safe and managed part of my life, if that makes sense. For neighbors, I wou...

Ahhhhh no. My wife is the child of two retired Navy folks. When I married her, she said I was not joining any branch, as she had done her time. My chance was before I married her, and I was not wired right at the time. Joining the Guard would be a lot of fun, good financially, and a very useful car...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Well, this year's crop of Hoover hogs at the OShea Armadillo Ranch & Coyote Preserve has been plentiful....both in numbers and size. I've culled six of the bastards in the last two weeks: two in my yard, two in Mom's yard, one on the empty lot between us, and one just a few minutes ago up at the ol...

https://i.postimg.cc/BQLbrBSN/6-1.jpg Well. I want to like this. I doubt I'll own one. But I hope they have success and I hope they find a place in the market for this. I really want a PDW rifle in this. Or a pistol with brace. That's what I really want. Something like the CMR, but not rimfire. And...

Re: Non-profit Security team advice/questions?

Quick thought: I believe my current church installed cameras because insurance offered a lower rate. I'm not sure why, but that was what I was told. I'm not even sure we paid to install them, but my current church has a bunch of cameras installed. My old (more security centric) church has 1 camera. ...

Re: Non-profit Security team advice/questions?

Some more quick thoughts: Be aware of your most likely threats. For most churches in America, the threat is medical issues for the very young or very old. Violence catches the attention, but it is less likely. When it does happen, in Christian churches, it is probably a domestic violence incident of...

Re: Non-profit Security team advice/questions?

So how's it going two years in? I'm at work on lunch, so quick answer: A few months after I started this thread I changed jobs, cities, and churches. The new one had a security team. I got a lot of education there. I recently moved back to my old city (changed jobs) and am attending my old church. ...

Some good advice for church security. And since most people here probably don't attend churchs, I think this has useful info for those who attend large public gatherings and carry concealed. I wish we didn't have people like the bad guy...

I believe Paladin Press closed in November, 2017. I remember hearing the "buy now because we are closing" warnings. I remember their stuff in the 90's and early 2000's. I do miss them.

I think if we had a forum title other than "zombie" we'd be seeing a lot more involvement on here about prepping. Most of the other prepping forums are either too religious or just full of people that think they know everything about the outdoors but really don't. Or sites that are solely dedicated...
