Re: Daily driver/BOV recommendation

... Something else I have noticed in all the BOV threads I have come across that mention the CRV is people seem to have this illusion that they will be rock crawling with their vehicle in SHTF and a CRV wont be enough of a 4x4 to get them out of Dodge. Personally I will take reliability MPG and ava...

Re: A question on 68W training on 'crics'

They wouldn't even go over blind intubation with the King LT's or the combitube with us. They basically showed us both of them, and said that if our PA wanted to teach us, that would be later on down the road. I'm currently a 68W and (on occasion) an assistant instructor at the FT DIX/MSTC. You mea...

Re: BOB Bug out Bike +

Don't waste $ on a walmart bike, you'll hate it because they are made so cheaply nothing works right. Every single time we rode ours I had to mess with the shifters trying to adjust them and such. Look up your local craigslist and buy a used Specialized, Giant, Trek, etc, you'll pay the same amount...

Re: Just a bicycle not a PAWCycle

Just this past weekend my wife and I went bike shopping. I have a bike (2010 Trek 6700) and now she wanted one. Initially, she was going to just run to the local Walmart and pickup a bike there. I wanted to run to the LBS to check out some of the new models for myself so I brought her along in case ...

Re: Just a bicycle not a PAWCycle

How about a price range? With that asked, I can tell you to go to the local bike shop and get properly fitted to a bike. It makes a world of difference. Bikes from the chain stores like Wallyworld are fine for meeting a price point, but you get what you pay for. Actually, if price is a large concern...

I'm definitely going to wait out the panic buying, however long that lasts. Not sure what things are going to look like on the other side of this craziness, so I couldn't really make up my mind at this point even if I was able too. Probably not a bad idea. Re: Important Info for NY: Law Changes and What You Need to

On a related note, I just read that in a rush to get this legislation through, there wasn't an exemption made for law enforcement and military. Maybe some of the NY LEOs in our community can confirm. There was not, retired police would have to comply with the mag cap. The bill is apparently being a...

yeah, I may have misread the original e-mail. That's ok, pre-emptive is bullshit either way. I must really be misinterpreting something regarding the Midway email. ... The time to buy either was about 6mo to a year ago, when you could order 100 AR mags for $799 and build a rifle with irons, a sling, and a light for under a grand. Yep. unfortunately, (without treading into politics) you will probably have a difficult time finding a fairly priced AR right now. ...

I forgot, feral hogs can be taken with a rifle, as can some small game (cottontail, squirrel, pheasant, quail, grouse).
But can they be taken with semi-auto? Here is PA, our hunting laws are outdated and do not allow hunting with semi rifles.

400 watts continuous for the pellet stove seems an awful lot to me, from what I understand all a pellet stove has is an auger and a blower. Coal cracker, if you get a big enough wood stove, and add registers, it will heat the whole house. Also I'd you have a chainsaw, there's tons of free wood for the taking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We already have the floor/ceiling registers as we use the pellet stove to heat the whole home...
