Re: Tactical Nylon/Gear Chat

Dumb question: does anyone have a source for OD green or Ranger green dye that will work on tactical nylon? I've got some personally purchased ACU pattern pouches that I used on my Army-issued gear that I'd like to keep using, but without ACU pattern. Rit fabric dye has been commonly used on the in...

Re: Newbie questions about iwb vs owb, training and else

I would grab a G17 magazine or two for training reloads. Magazine is almost twice as big as the G26, much easier to grab and manipulate. I have a galco kingtuk, very similar to the crossbreed mentioned earlier. Both are good choices. My G19 and kingtuk disappear under a polo shirt. I can drive all d...

Good job. Looks like you had fun.

I still want one of those tents. Maybe once my $30 amazon trail tent gives up the ghost, or my little brother finds one for me.

Built a 6x2x3 workbench for my armory out of plywood and 2x4s.

The wife mentioned that using a wood deck screw every 4 inches to hold the plywood topper on was excessive.

Re: The Multicam OPSEC Poncho and Swack Shack tarp? Reviews?

My OPSEC poncho kept my Large ALICE pack as dry as an old catholic nun during a severely rainy weekend at a charitable shooting and camping event a couple months ago.

Despite being the wrong color (multicam) I usually won't leave home without it.

Re: How long do water pouches really last?

I just popped open a 2 yr old case of bottled water that has been sitting in an unused bedroom here in my house.

Tastes the same as the bottled water I just purchased at the store recently.

Although relatively expensive I am sure your water will be good for a long while.

This guy? http://www.fortbraggsurplus.us/MOLLE-II-Medium-Rucksack-Backpack-p/rucksack-medium-complete.htm I've seen them on campus, definitely bigger than a medium alice or medium molle assault pack, IMO. I'd compare it in size to say slightly bigger than my 5.11 Rush 24, but with a better frame and...

Excellent idea, nice and clean finished product.

Do you think a longer spacer would facilitate the end process? I feel like I wouldn't be able to get a decent grip on 3/4 inch.

Great!

92FS. Was young(er) and didn't know any better at the time. That DA is a bit better now after a spring swap, but still an obsolete weapon in the grand scheme of things.

Rock a G19 now and won't look back.
